Outfits preset created with a custom texture and uploaded to canvas before the December update download without any custom texture if you put them back in your game.

The following outfits I created during the October 4.0 update and they had a custom texture created with the game IA. But when I downloaded in my game the custom texture disappeared is not showing. I’m attaching screenshots of the outfits how is supposed to look in according to canvas and how it looks when I put them back in my game.

Noticed this happening to me as well. I downloaded several outfit presets after the Dec update and none of the custom textures were included.

i applied some cute outfits with designs on from other people to my zoi, then i resetted my windows and i had to reinstall inzoi again, the custom designs are gone from the outfits and when i re-apply the outfits, the custom designs still not show, even after redownloading :frowning: none of these outfits with custom designs work anymore

Recently textures revert back to color when editing other parts of the outfit, I have to click on the texture part then it reappears, (basically taking 3-4 times as long to create an outfit with textures) then when I save the outfit one of the textures will revert to color again, then I click on that part of the outfit and select texture again, then it successfully saves, this was never an issue before the December update.

Looks to me that you have to reapply the texture and go through everything I mentioned, also Idk if scaling is still set so you might have to realign the textures.

i havent edit anything though, it was a save created during the halloween update and i left the clothes how they were  i guess maybe what happened is that the designs are saved locally? so they are gone when the files are deleted, but it still makes no sense when i redownload the outfit and it still doesn’t work

Let’s see if we can understand Google English, you speak German and I speak Spanish, good :). is very strange … when you download the models, do you also download the textures? Can you see the textures? You have to see them from within the game, and also check your My Documents/Inzoi/Creations/My Textures folder. If you see them, try assigning them yourself as it suggests @JoylsFunner.

I only speak American English… I have no problem reapplying textures, but that might be because I only use my own textures, Idk about the players that download them to use them.

the textures should be downloaded automatically right? i mean, otherwise theres no point to even download it the outfit

in my local folder are a bunch of textures

Hi @JoylsFunner, I also upload textures instead of downloading them. There might be a mismatch in the game, they’ll fix it.
Have a great day, greetings.

Before I write about your technical issue, I want to add that I have problems with textures on downloaded items that I created. There’s a Known Issue about textures behaving strangely (often reverting to a colour after you customize part of an outfit with a texture), but that isn’t the same issue.

There is a bug with textures on outfits uploaded prior to the December 23, 2025 update. Uploads that are much later are affected in a much worse way. I’ll share information of my own below.

When you had to reset Windows, did you keep a copy of your local inZOI files? They would’ve been in your Documents folder on Windows (or OneDrive, if you used it).

If you use OneDrive, then you’re lucky and can get all your inZOI content back. If there is no backup of your original inZOI content (the downloads, textures, zois you created, saved games, etc), then there are a few things to check so we can narrow down what’s happening.

Please try to do these two things:

  • try to download an outfit with a custom texture that you never downloaded before, and make sure that says the outfit was uploaded 3 to 4 weeks old (then we’ll know they were uploaded between the October and December updates
  • try to download an outfit with a custom texture that is less than 2 weeks old

These are the issues I’m experiencing and I suspect you will see the same:

If you download an outfit with a custom texture that was uploaded 2 to 4 weeks ago will not display the texture that is supposed to be there. If the outfit is 3 to 4 weeks old, the texture should be in your “My Textures” collection. When you click on the texture that should be on the outfit, it should appear and look the same as in the pictures on Canvas (the pattern is the same size and in the same place).

If the outfit is even older, the texture will not appear on the custom outfit, and when you locate it in your folder, the pattern settings may not be there (it could be default 0 gloss, pattern size 50, and 0 for both horizontal and vertical positions).

When you redownload them, it should add the texture into your texture collection (since there were no private textures then).

Hopefully, when you click on the new copy you downloaded, you can reapply the texture by clicking on the outfit to customize its texture. The texture sometimes appears instantly, or you need to go into the collection of textures and click the one that’s supposed to be on the outfit.

Since it was after the Halloween update, you shouldn’t need to change anything about the texture (like pattern size and placement). Those settings remained on all the downloads I’ve tested that were after the Halloween update.

I hope that helps.

If you have a backup, you’re in luck!! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :tada: But you should take some steps to ensure that nothing acts up because of new content you’ve tested since reinstalling the game.

If you have a backup of your Documents/inZOI/Creations folder, you will have a copy of all your textures, outfits, zois, buildings, etc.

Before adding that folder to your new Documents/inZOI files, make a copy of the Creations folder from your new installation. Move it somewhere safe outside of your inZOI files. You might not need it, but it’s always good to keep it at least during testing. Delete that entire Creations folder from your new installation of inZOI.

Next, make a copy of your your backup Creations folder from your original installation, and paste it into your Documents/inZOI folder. Now you should have all the creations you used to have.

The newer outfits will probably still need you to click on the texture customizing icon to get the texture to reappear, but the outfit should look as expected once you click to customize the texture, or click on the texture in your texture collection to have it applied to the outfit. The settings for position and size of the pattern, etc. should be intact unless it’s a much older creation.

Wishing you the best in recovering your content!! :crossed_fingers:
