Steps to Reproduce: Potentially loading different outfits with different textures during the same Character Studio session, best guess
- Details:
Sometimes creations upload to Canvas with textures that aren’t included on the items being uploaded.
In the past, I have downloaded zois and outfits that didn’t appear to have custom textures, or only one, yet I would sometimes have five or six textures not used in any part of the zoi or outfit.
With the new version 20251224.9501.W we can see the number of textures that are included with an item (thank you very much for this feature!!!) and that’s how I caught it that an outfit I was trying to upload which had only one custom texture was uploading with 5 textures!
I tried rebuilding the outfit from scratch, but it still happened.
I quit the game, returned and grabbed a random zoi and put the outfit parts together in their default state. I saved that outfit and quit the game again.
I returned, grabbed a randomly generated zoi preset, and customized the outfit I had saved with only default options. I customized it with the single texture I wanted to share, and I was finally able to upload it with just one texture.
My best guess for the cause of the issue is that when I first began my Character Studio session where the error kept happening, I had loaded a custom outfit, then I changed to something else, and then started making an entirely new outfit to upload. It kept uploading with the textures from the two different outfits I’d loaded before creating and trying to share the outfit with one texture. (I kept the bugged uploads as private or unlisted in case you want to take a look at the files.)
This bug must be causing a lot of bloat for people who don’t watch their textures folder when they download items.
Thank you in advance for taking a look into this issue. ![]()
