Forum expansion wish

Probably been wished before, but could we have a more general player community forum please? I mean, categories where we can just post our zoi stories, ask if anyone knows of certain Canvas stuff or mods (like, say, “where can I find a Persian rug?” or “is there a curly long hair?” or “is there a butler mod?”), post screenshots of their builds, or just shoot the wind? The forum currently seems to be focused on technical help and bugs and stuff, which is good for the game’s future and development, but “people who found bugs in InZoi” is not much of a community. And I feel like a community could also help the game. Just IMHO.

Yes, we’ve wished for this a lot since the beginning :psycat_sad:

The only category we have for suggestions like yours is the Q&A

Which sadly just means misusing the Q&A forum :frowning:

Sadly, yes. It is what it is.
Since we asked so often and nothing changed, maybe this forum is just for reporting bugs and the community stuff is supposed to happen on Social Media like discord or reddit.
But these - ehem - places are no option for me.

Well, I mean it obviously is what it is, and there is no denying that. But I still wish that Krafton gave us a hand here. As, presumably you and many others do too.

And I mean, I have no experience with whatever forum software they’re using, but as a programmer, anything else I’ve seen or even programmed it myself (albeit in a B2B context) makes it TRIVIAL to just add a sub-forum. It’s the kind of thing that you can start at 9AM and still have time to grind 5 double-choc cappucinos for your Coffee Craft skill before your lunch break. TRIVIALLY easy. Like, just add a new row to config file or database. That’s literally all it takes.

Which makes me a little confused as to why Krafton doesn’t just do it.

But then I’ve got a good medical reason for not understanding it. The doctor said I’m a bit thick

I have wanted a section here where we can be a bit casually social about inZOI because every single one of us here is a member of the inZOI community. I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but I see so many members of this forum are passionate about the game. We want to see it flourish.

But it’s also sad to be cut off from each other without just going off topic in forums and threads. I go to Discord to share my creations and videos, and find other peoples’ in return. But I don’t like the “vibe” of Discord. It’s very toxic-feeling, and the company can’t be trusted quite as much as the development team of a game where we post in their discussion forums. That provides our data to the inZOI team and Krafton, plus bots that scrape the pages, but that’s still nothing compared to Discord.

Sorry, I went off topic.

A little off-topic again, my apologies! I just wanted to say I have a little bit of a soft-spot in my heart for the names and avatars I see around here. There aren’t so many of us that most members blur together into the “other players” thought-space. It’s kind of interesting!

When the community grows, I hope it’ll be here and more people will get to know each other and recognize names and avatars, so it will be a bit bigger community. One day, we will see many strangers, but every game needs a strong community.

Redditt is popular with some people and used for many, many things. I don’t use it though.

Discord is popular and used for many, many, things. I prefer small servers for friends to get together, but a lot of games have communities there for their players. At least Discord is primarily geared toward gaming, but it’s not an inZOI space.

Steam has discussion forums for their games, along with news sections, community contributions, etc. but it’s not a social space. Some people might’ve created steam groups for inZOI, or do those no longer exist?

Anyhow, most games I play have their own forums for fans, and there are social sections. Generally, only certain types of players join the game’s own forum. They’re not necessarily more passionate, but there’s some reason why they’re drawn to the official forum, and I truly hope inZOI will provide that for players like us who are here on the game’s own forum. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :ok_hand:

It should be done on Canvas. I think it should be a way for users to freely upload stories, questions, and other content in addition to their own creations.

Use Canvas, the internal community service where you can connect with other Creators in AR Company.

I’m ok with it being in Canvas.
