Please emphasize and utilize the inZOI Forum

I wish the inZOI Forum, despite being in Beta, would be emphasized more. It is promoted on the lobby screen of the game, and sometimes mentioned elsewhere (like the Light Up Cahaya event got people to post here if they wanted to participate), but that’s about all I’ve seen.

Currently, most interaction with the team takes place on Discord, and that includes the extremely important Brainstorm with Kjun discussions.

The topic came up in this thread Dystopian, or Cyberpunk Gameplay and got a lot of responses. Here’s my original comment and some replies.

I really wish they would emphasize this forum a lot more. Many people already had a Discord account, but making a forum account is an extra step that people will only take if they care about the game enough to post a more serious bug report or get more involved.

Valid feedback will definitely come from Discord and Steam, but they should put a lot of emphasis on their official forum.

But, it’s possible that they take a lot of feedback from here too. I would like to see the official forum be developed a little more to include aa general discussion place as well. This would be a great community hangout that’s outside of Discord. The inZOI team has full control over the whole place, so it could be perfect for the studio and players.

I feel this one is especially important.

They need to scrap Discord. I personally am unable to use it because they permanently banned me from the platform for protecting my own privacy by not using the official client. They straight up admitted in email that I am obligated to give them data for advertizing and, yes, potentially military use by the US government against my own country and my country’s separate laws. Just straight up admitted it when I complained that that’s how I felt about it, that I was right and there was nothing I could do because “that’s capitalism”.

Talk about abusing a monopoly when that response can be given straight up because they know the law in their country will protect them and the law in my country can’t protect me from essentially being exiled from the internet.

I’ve heard this about Discord and they seem sketchy to me. I don’t have it either and I won’t get one. I don’t do social media and I’m not downloading this platform because of video game. I don’t even understand why they created this forum if they’re just going to use Discord as the main. KJun should also be looking at threads here and on Steam.

agreed. discord is horrible and i refuse to use it. i don’t know how much attention they give it over their own forums here, but they should def be looking at multiple forums rather than just one.

They seem to give Discord all of the attention when it’s a third party and this is their own space they’ve created. It makes no sense to me. If KJun is actively checking Discord threads, why not here?

Regardless of the reason, there are many, many people who cannot or choose not to use Discord. That doesn’t mean they aren’t as passionate about the game as everyone on the Discord server (in fact, some on that server are not passionate about the game and are rabid fans of another game, and might not even own inZOI).

Discord has a long list of issues (including the recent breach that exposed everyone’s the age-verifying ID data!!), so a lot of people prefer not to use it. Like I wrote above, there are people who had Discord and used it regularly before inZOI, but they might not be invested in the game enough to make an account on another site.

I’m sure the team does check here, but how often? This would be the best place for communicating directly with the players! Not only is it fully-controlled by the inZOI team, it’s also organized well into threads (unlike the General Feedback channels for different aspects of the game over on Discord. I never feel like my posts there will be seen because there’s so much posted there already, and if they check only once in a while, my posts will be easily lost among all the other randomly-shared feedback and so many random chit-chat replies.

I know it’s important for the inZOI team to maintain a presence on Steam, Discord, Reddit, and probably Facebook, but this should be the most emphasized channel for communication between the inZOI team and the players.

If this is already the plan following the forum’s Beta phase, then please consider this as massive support for that plan! Otherwise, please give it some serious thought. Thank you!

100%. I am among those who, while signed up for Discord, tend not to use it because it is such a chaotic mess.

These forums are clear, easy to navigate, and a pleasant place to discuss all aspects of the game. This should be the true home of all things Inzoi, IMO.

This forum should be as visible in inZOI as much as Canvas is currently.

At least while it is beta.

I learn new gameplay stuff all the time, just scrolling through posts. It has been so helpful.

And I’m still thinking whether we need a separate thread on the forum to collect all Comment Responses and videos, plus our satisfied requests in the form of the update calendar (October, December, TBA), or the ones that were mentioned but not yet clarified.

yes please, i dont even have access on their discord anymore (banned me for literally no reason, i still dont know what i did wrong, i guess they just hate me.), discord is such a toxic place and i hate how every company uses it as their main socializing, inzoi even made this forum but then don’t promote it and still does everything over discord

I am also in full agreement with you all!

I have discord and could use it but I nearly never do because it is so annoying. I tried to post or ask questions several times over there but never received any meaningful response. You can just watch your post vanishing in the chaos of the chat and that’s it. You clearly know there will be nobody coming back to your question tomorrow and answering it because he/she knows the answer as until then your post is lost in the discord mess. This was actually the reason I searched for a forum and signed up here where it is possible to have meaningful discussions, get questions answered and benefit from the experience of other players.

By the way there actually are games where it works better with Discord, where you really get answers and people help each other but this is the minority and Inzoi Discord seems not be the case.

I actually wonder why not more people from Discord are moving over to the forums. I cannot imagine that most of them appreciate the chaos. Main reason sticking to Discord might then really be the updates from Kjun, brainstorming with Kjun etc. If they would move that to the forums things would change pretty fast I assume.
