[1.2.26] Comprehensive Feedback on UX, Social Systems, and Economic Design in inZOI

Build Mode and User Experience

One of the most frequently discussed topics among players is the build mode. Many users feel that it is less intuitive than expected, especially for players already familiar with the genre.

The most common complaint concerns object rotation. Players instinctively expect rotation to be tied to the mouse wheel, as this has become a widely accepted standard in building and design systems. The current implementation requires adjustment and is often described as uncomfortable, particularly during the first hours of gameplay.

Another widely mentioned issue is the absence of an eyedropper tool. The ability to quickly and fully copy an object or its parameters without additional clicks would significantly improve the building workflow. At the moment, many players feel that copying objects involves unnecessary steps and disrupts creative flow.

The wall editing system generates the most frustration. Players consistently note the lack of:

  • a clear separation between wallpaper and paint,

  • an option to apply finishes to an entire room at once,

  • convenient selection of a single wall or predefined wall area.

Currently, wall painting feels overly manual and time-consuming, especially when working on larger or more complex interiors.

Live Mode and Social Interaction

In live mode, players strongly feel the absence of internal social platforms. An in-game social network or dating website could significantly enrich character interaction, making the world feel more contemporary and socially alive.

Hobbies could also evolve into deeper social mechanics. Photography, for example, could expand into a path toward popularity, recognition, or even a career, with social feedback and reputation impact.

Social Classes as a Core System

A clear division into upper, middle, and lower classes could become a foundational gameplay system rather than a cosmetic label. Social class could be influenced not only by income, but also by family background, education, neighborhood, and social connections.

Each class could offer unique starting conditions, limitations, and forms of social pressure. Upper-class characters might face constant reputation scrutiny, while lower-class characters experience limited resources but greater freedom of choice.

Class Influence on Education

Education could become a critical formative stage. Social class might affect school type, teacher attitudes, expectations, and peer groups.

At the university level, this could expand into:

  • elite institutions with strong networks and high competition,

  • mid-tier universities requiring a balance of study and work,

  • limited access for lower-class characters without scholarships or exceptional effort.

This would enable narratives of social mobility, pressure from expectations, or decline in status.

Business and Economic Systems

Business gameplay could evolve into a layered and narrative-rich system. Development could range from informal work and hobbies to small businesses and eventually large corporations.

Social class could shape entry points:

  • upper-class characters gaining easier access to investment but facing intense scrutiny,

  • middle-class characters relying on strategic growth,

  • lower-class characters dealing with loans, risks, and systemic obstacles.

Business reputation, scandals, rumors, and social connections could all directly affect success.

Scenarios and Long-Term Consequences

Delayed consequences would add significant depth. School conflicts affecting careers, university friendships turning into partnerships, or scandals resurfacing years later would reinforce the sense of a persistent life story shaped by earlier decisions.

Public Reaction and Social Pressure

The game world could respond more actively to character behavior through class-based judgment, double standards, and public opinion influencing mental state and reputation.

Such systems would position inZOI not only as a life simulator, but as a simulation of social dynamics and long-term personal development.

Thank you for considering this feedback. inZOI has the potential to become a truly deep and multi-layered life simulation, and I hope these ideas may contribute to its future evolution.

Kind regards, Anastasia
