The ability to have actual relationships with NPCs instead of only Zois that live in the area

When I first started playing InZoi this was probably the most frustrating thing for me.

I developed friendship/romantic relationships with NPCs I came across and that was the only time I was actually able to interact with these NPCs.

I never saw them again unless I randomly came across them somewhere in the city.

I tried to schedule meet ups/dates using the calendar and they wouldn’t pitch. I tried to invite them over to my house and they still wouldn’t come.

Eventually I figured out that you can only flesh out relationship story lines with other Zois that are in a household in the city.

This left me with few options of Zois I could actually develop relationships with.

I was playing in Dowon so the only option I had to get my Zoi married was one other single Zoi or to be a home wrecker and steal another Zois man.

I started relationships with NPCs without any problems, invited them to my home and even got married. In the current save, one of my zoi has a romantic relationship with an NPC and I often see this NPC walking down the street

I remember that was a major issue in the beginning, even though I was lucky with the NPC my first zoi met in my first game.

When was the last time you had this issue with the NPCs? I haven’t tried to form a relationship with the NPCs who don’t live in the city for a while now, so I don’t know what the situation is like.

The new crowd-spawning mechanic might have something to do with this. It’s possible that randomly generated zois that are summoned to be part of a crowd are deleted later, or something. I really hope that’s not the case.

I think that as long as our zoi has met and formed some type of relationship with an NPC (there’s a bit of friendship, peer, or romance relationship development), the NPC should be added to the city.

If the city’s population is at its maximum, the player could get a pop-up message prompting the player to decide if they want to have the new NPC added to the city. The message should inform that if you want to keep the NPC, you’ll need to remove one of the existing ones to make room for the new one.
