Is your table a 4 person table ? Just curious.

Yes, it is

jus for kicks, place an 8 seat one and try again !
I think it’s gonna work, but not sure.

Still an issue/bug, we should keep the rest of the portion in that big meal dish to use later, if any are left.

You were right, it depends on the table

Thought so. Good find!

Now we wait for an acknowledgement and a fix. :+1:

Nice brainstorming @Samuriko :+1:

Now I understand why in Cahaya’s save, where they have a table with seats, the giant donut never ended

Just found another issue with “prepare in small portions”

If you take individual meals until 1-2 are left, THEN use the prepare in small portion (either a 4-8 seat table), it will fill all the eating spots on the table regardless of how many servings there’s left.

It’s the opposite issue where a 8 portion meal becomes a 4 portion on a small table.
I chuckled when stumbled onto that tonight. Good for countering that food inflation !

This is interesting. I was wondering the same as you have 8 portions but when you run a business and fill the small market stand there is only place for 4 portions. If you fill it the rest is gone and you could have actually filled a second small market stand with the same dish.

Don´t know yet how to get the big market stand. Probably it is coming as reward for 4 or 5 Star business, then we could test that as well.

Put down an 8 seat table (even without chairs)
Once you finish cooking, put it on table and say to split it in small portions.
It will generate 8.
Then manually add them one by one to those selling counters/display

Thanks @Samuriko Yes, this works but… It is an immense inventory nightmare. Unfortunately the game does not allow you to put a plate into the market stand when clicking it while on table or other surface. You first need to put all 8 into your inventory. Then put each single one out one at a time, wait until the Zoi holds it and then you can click the market stand to place it for sale, again one by one.

I really hope they give us the option to operate directly out of the inventory soon. This taking out each item one by one and holding it to perform any action on it is really disturbing.

This always failed for me, at least in the tutorial business. I had, oh, I think 14 seats at 3 dining tables. Make a “whole chocolate cake”? Check. It gets put on a table? Check. Choose to split it into small portions? I run into the other bug: it just disappears and I get no portions at all.

Just to clarify:

  • if I pick it up and click on a market stand to split it to, it works as expected (meaning 4 portions)
  • if I leave it on the table, customers and employees can take and eat 8 individual portions, but don’t pay
  • if I click on it and want to make small portions, it just disappears

@Moraelin For me it worked as described above. Even though I would not use this workaround all too often as first splitting, then putting each one by one in the inventory, then one by one out again, wait until it is in Zoi´s hand and then one by one into the market stand is really crazy.

But to you point:

On the last bullet. If I put the dish on a 8 seat table and click it I can devide it into smaller portions:

And then it should look like this instead of disappearing:

When does it disappear? Directly after giving the task to split it or after the Zoi performed the task?

My bakery has only two stars and I have a large counter!

You can get one too!

  1. Buy a plot “Goz’s Bakery” in Dowon (there are large counters there)
  2. Save furniture preset
  3. Place the counter on your plot in build mode (take it out from the preset)
  4. You can sell the unnecessary plot (the money will be returned to your account)

This way you can have large counters at the beginning of your career!

Or start a business on this plot where the developers have already placed large counters!

Thank you @NyushaDm I really didn´t know and was wondering when I will get it.

Is it the only way to get it or do you also have it now in your normal build mode, so that you can purchase it?

Strangely the build mode seems to know this object as when you start typing it offers you to select it but it is nowhere to be found:

I haven’t been given this counter yet. I read somewhere that they give it when your business reaches 5 stars. I currently have 2 stars.

Ah. I didn’t think of picking it up and putting it on a different table. My zoi just placed it on the nearest table when it was done baking, which happened to be one of those round 4-seat tables. Clicked on it to make it into small portions, and I got no cake and no portions. That kind of a disappearing act.

I should have been a magician instead of a baker

Pretty sure I’ve seen that one reported before.

BTW, does anyone know if there’s some pre-made shop with an 8-slot market stand in Bliss Bay too? I’m not going to move to Dowon just to get one of those :stuck_out_tongue:

@Moraelin it must be a bug anyway though even if it should now work on a 8 seat table. You should get at least the 4 portions instead of magic 0 on a 4 seat table
