We’re currently in version 0.5.x and until now, each major update gave a +0.1.0
Early Access release - v0.1.0
June 2025 update - v0.2.0
Cahaya DLC - v0.3.0
October 2025 update - v0.4.0
December 2025 update - v0.5.0
so when we continue this with ~ 4-5 updates this year
the final release - version 1.0.0 - will be end of this this year/beginning next year(?)

From what I’ve experienced with various other pre-release Early Access games, they can (AND SHOULD) continue counting beyond 9 like v0.10.0, v0.11.0 and so on. That’s usually how it’s done. Releasing after v0.9.0 would be a terrible idea, judging based on what we’re currently working with.

Ah I didn’t know there is such a thing as 0.11.0 ^^’
I assumed after 0.9.0 comes 1.0.0
(And I hope so too.)
When I first noticed this way of “counting”, I was confused too. Mostly those numbers are used this way:
(post-release major update) . (pre-release major update) . (hotfixes / patches / minor updates)
Of course it’s up to the devs to decide but that’s the most common way of using it based on my 2+ decades of gaming experience
EDIT: I think the first and second number can change meaning once the game releases but at that point I didn’t pay much attention anymore xD

Correction:
I googled and was slightly wrong. It’s (Major) . (Minor) . (Patch) → all numbers aren’t limited though, so we’re hopefully not seeing a release anytime soon
