InZoi hopefully will sort out the bugs

Maybe it is a bit soon to present my review. But playing the game for 3 weeks is enough. In my view and I am sure many will disagree, this game should have not been released so soon. To pay 35.00 UK Pounds for a game in this buggy condition is a ‘Rip-Off’! What have Krafton Inc been doing since since March 2025 to improve the game? Very little! Take a look at all the ‘Thumbs Down’ in the Steam Reviews! That says it all! Am I being to harsh? No!

The visuals of the game are stunning, but what is the point if the gameplay, and especially the interaction between the characters are buggy. These are the basics, and after 10 months Krafton have not sorted this out!?

I have been playing Sims 4 for several years . Ok, it does not look as good as InZoi, but at least Electronic Arts have developed a game that is truly fun and playable, although it did have bugs. To create a game/sim on human relationships and interactions must be very challenging. Maybe Krafton and Electronic Arts can get together to create the ultimate Sims Game.

But the full release hasn’t happened yet, it’s still far off, probably in 2027, maybe 2028. Yes, Early Access has been a pain for the entire gaming industry for about a decade, but it’s still not the same as a release. Yes, it get published too early, beyond closed betas. Yes, the state is a bit sad compared to some Early Access and PBT games (not all, No Rest for the Wicked, PoE2 broke and have been fixing the entire balance, and from time to time many attract players through free weekends, RUST, EFT periodically messed up), but both franchises, the Sims and inZOI, are in different phases of the production cycle. EA pushed out an unfinished game as a full release, while Krafton hasn’t done that yet.

Spending 40 dollars may feel disappointing, I agree, yet such differences in vision and planning occur. Nobody is forcing anyone to play it or believe in miracles. If you like the Sims, play the Sims. If Krafton doesn’t succeed with inZOI in its current form – it’s still not the end of the world, you still have a choice.

Have you been playing for a couple of years? This picture will take you back to 2014, where, although the game was cyclical, because it did not have such a masterstroke, it was the hardest transition after Sims 3 and full of sad things, and by the way, interestingly, it was the character creation mode that attracted many, so I can confidently say that I’m in Sims 4. from day one, it was the hardest and most terrible launch of the new part, after which they returned the basic items for a long time, it was a full release, and I don’t take into account that there were three different sets for different prices

Or let’s talk about how the latest patch completely killed all the family photos. A day later, a trailer for the new expansion comes out with dynasty images. They refused to release the patch right away and postponed it until February, when Inzoi releases urgent patches much more often with problems?

I agree with everything @GDfromRivendell says.

I too, to be honest, thought it was released too soon, but not for those who bought it, for the game’s ultimate success, in the sense that with so many bugs Inzoi risks damaging its reputation and it could then be difficult to recover.

On the other hand, I believe the path they’ve chosen is to build the game together with the players and the community that has formed here on the forum I really like. So each of us, here and/or on Discord, should make it clear how prioritary it is to fix bugs and try to release new content as bug-free as possible, rather than in a rush. I also understand the need to provide new content to retain or attract players, but bugs are frustrating and detrimental to player loyalty, in my opinion.

As far as I’m concerned, I’m happy I bought it in EA, I’ve already played it for over 1,000 hours, more than I’ve played with other games I bought already released  . It certainly also depends on the way you play, I spend quite a bit of time in build mode, and also on the fact that I don’t compare it to The Sims, which for me was a closed chapter years ago, even though I notice that for certain features I almost unconsciously expect them to be like in The Sims  , because it’s my only other life simulator experience and I played it for years (especially the 2, of which I had all the expansions, while I never bought any for the 3 and 4).

Yes, but that’s already in the past, the launch in Early Access happened, and everything it brought has already occurred and can’t be changed.

However, if now Krafton suggested closing the game for further development until release, or asked players to voluntarily stop playing it for a month/year as if Early Access never existed, they wouldn’t agree (at best). That’s why this controversy around the game becomes inevitable, yet at the same time illogical.

Before full release (in Early Access, Public Beta Test) the game is essentially a playtest, which is often uncomfortable because there is constant, significant interference with the code, especially when new systems are being developed. As a result, their priority often outweighs bug fixes. In some games, saves from older versions weren’t compatible with every major update (BG3), and in others (PoE) you couldn’t continue with the same clan in the full game after the EA phase.

So I’ve always had questions about removing/hiding core systems that will eventually be reworked anyway (which means longer and deeper interference with the code), and about changing the order of integrating these systems, but definitely not about the number of animations or even some bugs, since those don’t significantly affect the game’s code.

But I just can’t wrap my head around the abuse of devs, whether it’s “I wish they were wiser”, “if I were you” (as if these guys were invited into dev) or the latest “degrading”. Whenever I read it, I immediately get flashbacks to the toxicity of the current Sims community, where all communication has broken, and it makes me realize how community‑oriented inZOI Team is by contrast.

Hi Lion: Don’t worry, I think that in this forum there is more freedom of expression than on other sites. The Sims are a WONDERFUL game, but many years have passed and sometimes you need a rest. When you play Inzoi, The Sims look like they’re made of paper, that’s the problem: the aesthetics. Inzoi in this moment is a disaster, we use a lot of imagination and a lot of patience because there aren’t many life simulators to choose from. We want it to move forward, but we’ll see …

greetings :slightly_smiling_face:

In each and every post of his, Kjun states how valuable our feedback is for the Devs.
This also includes negative and frustrated feedback.

While we know that ~3000 people played inZOI today, over one million(!) - who were interested and bought the game - didn’t.
And it’s crucial to know why they didn’t, even though they paid to play inZOI.

That’s why every kind of feedback is valuable, to understand why these frustrated, disappointed, angry… players stopped playing inZOI - to make it better.

So as long as it isn’t against the forum guidelines - give feedback. It’s valuable.

Did you play for 3 weeks?! & And are You sure that the developers are not doing anything to fix bugs?

I’ve been watching this project since the start of Early Access itself. You can’t even imagine what annoying bugs were at inZOI in April - May in version v0,1,0-0,1,7! The interactions between the characters weren’t just buggy, they just triggered after 5 minutes of mouse clicks on the character from different angles.

I was seriously thinking of abandoning the game and waiting until the full release. But in June in version v0,2,0 the interaction bug has been fixed.

In v0,3,0 we got a new 3rd city. In addition, the game has changed to unrecognizability in terms of the interface and new mechanics.

For players at Sims inZOI is “empty” currently… Oh… I think GTA Online, which was released in 2013 and got over 40 free DLCs (& a lot of hotfixes) is “empty”. After 5 years of gaming ̶(̶d̶r̶u̶g̶ ̶a̶d̶d̶i̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶)̶. Everything is relativitely

I totally 100% agree with @LennyOgg ! Not only positive feedback is important, but negative feedback too. It’s especially important that players who are displeased with the game point out what they did not like with arguments.
Personally, this is the first time I’ve participated in a live discussion of problems in any game on a forum. After GTA Online, which has absolutely “dead” support in Rockstar, they either respond with template phrases that they will not change or fix anything, or ignore it altogether, this forum at inZOI, where many players are so interested in improving the game that they are willing to continue spending their time playing it, looking for bugs, writing about issues, this place seems to be a corner of “creative normality”.
By the way, I’ve already played more than 1,100 hours in this buggy, raw game. I spent half of this time in the Build Mode and in the Character creation studio.
Am I annoyed by the bugs that regularly accompany every action in the game? Oh, yes, indeed!
Do I regret spending $40? Never once. & I don’t think it was a “mistake” to release this game so early. Different people have different points of view

So the problem is not that you’re catching bugs and looking for flaws, that’s all fine (although they do seem to have QA, so I can’t believe for a second that they themselves aren’t aware of their own issues, it’s rather naive to assume that).

The problem is that with strong pressure, and in a somewhat passive‑aggressive way, some of you pushing the devs to change course, assuming that only your analytics and pipelines are “good” while theirs are somehow “not good enough”, that their experiments with mechanics and game modes are insignificant, while anything Sims‑like is supposedly amazing. I notice that some people upvote all Sims‑like features and downvote everything else, even though nobody has calculated the risks of overlapping two franchises at the end of the year, which is probably exactly what the inZOI team is trying to avoid. And if that decision was made at the higher level, then what follows is simply your resistance and shift into opposition.

Neither you nor I have analytics, all projections are mostly pulled out of thin air, and relying only on CCU/DAU is pure armchair analysis, while they have their own staff of marketers. And game designers. Guys, none of us were hired to speak on their behalf, the level of involvement they gave us should also be tied to ethics, and beyond that… if it gets exceeded, they would go into defensive mode and deliberately ignore, you didn’t anticipate such an outcome? And then a breakdown in communication?

So we wanted a roadmap: here is a relevant document. In 2025 there was pure chaos, but now everything has been approved. Everything done within it is brought to discussion with us, but only if they need our participation. As far as I know, “rescuer mode” (Karpman Triangle) wasn’t requested.

We are not haters, we are lovers, and to love is to tell truth, and do not sugarcoat it because then it becomes lie.

Yes this is early access and therefor we are to expect bugs as the inZOI team is still developing the game.

And this was promised to be created with the players,

First thing I noticed when I asked Kjun a question he never answered, then I looked at his profile and he has never responded to what any player has ever said to him, so what does Brainstorm with Kjun mean?

Second thing I noticed is Wishlist the 3 items I would like to be added to the game look like they’re never going to happen because I didn’t get any likes or feedback, so again created with the players.

I understand why you are trying to mellow us disappointed players down, and yes this should not become chaos :+1:

You weren’t at the first autumn brainstorms, that’s clear. There are hundreds, thousands of us. And when Kjun tried to respond to everyone personally, he spent half of his weekend and still didn’t close even a hundred requests. That’s why they chose to accumulate them, merge similar ones into a single average position, and return to them if needed. Right now a team has been formed here (not Kjun). But this wasn’t the first wave of brainstorms and surveys. There were ones during pre-EA closed beta/spring and summer, and from those they sequentially formed the first wave of 2025 (city activities, NPCs, groups, multitasking, multiplayer) and the second, which is now the 2026 roadmap (jobs, crime, CAZ, BB mode…). I was present at all of these waves, and that’s why I know the roadmap contains 90–95% of our requests.

And even with that, my requests constantly appear in the responses and even move higher in priority. So in this case, it’s simply a matter of understanding the rules and acting accordingly.

Kjun gave dozens of interviews in which he outlined his philosophy of stoicism, on the basis of which they built the AR Company, karma and souls, MMO background, the desire to include many RPG systems in the game, and even multiplayer. Within the workflow of authorial and corporate interests, following this concept is perfectly fine.

So, based on all this, we get that it’s a business partnership with two sides of beneficiaries, with clear boundaries, less unconditional, and generally not accepting hyper‑control or hyper‑care, the kind that suffocates like “take my love, why won’t you accept it?”, while the partner instead withdraws.

As for Wishlists (not Brainstorms), you’d better ask the Forum Team. In the end I copy-pasted everything from there into brainstorms on Discord, since I didn’t really understand the purpose of that section.

I checked out the discord… I’m just going to post here on the forum, I’m hoping Wishlist will become more active after everyone can stop focusing on bugs lol

Well, I don’t participate because I don’t understand its rules even before the focus on bugs. But I understand the rules of direct communication with Kjun during brainstorms, since starting from the summer they began actively implementing the proposed systems of adaptive NPC roles, groups, crowds, and so on.

They told us they were focusing on bugs, but I’ll be blunt : I am NOT seeing bugs getting squashed.
Some have been there for a VERY long time now. I’m getting a bit annoyed, and that’s putting it mildly.

  • Zois being affected with something like a forever thin bug ?
  • Zois being unable to complete the singing homework ?
  • Zois eating even though full ?
  • Zois bathing even though clean ?
  • Zois waking-up even though tired ?
  • Zois having inconsistant needs depletions that seems to pop out of nowhere ?
  • Un-cancellable actions (I think this is only for Bathing, or at least it’s the most frequent).
  • Zois Needs not filling-up properly in the 4 hours/day gameplay (it’s not as bad as it was, but still not good enough)
  • Custom textures applied to objects being improperly lit (sometimes dark, others bright, but usually bad)
  • We’re still missing some early Enneagrams, some where overwritten (Entertainer became troublemaker??), why remove them, add them back and keep the new ones too !
  • Zois no longer playing piano/synthesizer when you have that preference AND one of the 2 instruments at home, always defaulting on the Guitar instead.
  • Child zois no longer AUTOMATICALLY joining an adult going to wash the laundry (Yes, it was like that pre-0.2.0, provided child had the laundry preference)
  • Toddler requiring insane amount of interaction from adult.
  • Newborns requiring less than toddler but smelling the baby every hour? Compulsive behavior there IMHO.
  • Zois not fixing their own “water” furniture when they break and slipping on the floor, killing themselves, even though they love repairing or at least a zoi of the household loves doing it.
  • Babysitters stealing tablets and laptops(more rare).
  • Babysitters not leaving the house on their own.
  • Babysitters emptying the fridge as they try to eat but food disappears when set on the table.
  • Babysitters not cleaning diapers and bottles.
  • Zois putting tablets/laptop in their bags without the player’s prompting them to do so.
  • Tablets disappearing (not in any zois inventory and no Babysitter came… where is it ? Who knows !)
  • Zois getting their action cancelled to go take care of a newborn/toddler, forgetting what they where doing and not resuming previous action.
  • Zois getting their action cancelled to answer a conversation from another zoi, forgetting what they where doing and not resuming previous action (frequent with some book/tablet reading, also with homeworks on the computer I’ve found out).
  • Zois not closing TV/Music when done/interrupted (see above for “forgetting” what they where doing).
  • Zois cleaning the fields/grass outside with a broom.
  • Zois not using the closest wardrobe to their bed to change into their bed clothes.
  • Zois not changing into formal attire when going to work
  • Zois not changing into their school attire when going to school (especially “child” age-group, but others too).
  • Zois not using umbrellas, and being unable to carry umbrellas in their bags anymore.
  • Zois discarding their umbrellas in the middle of a conversation or because of other action, then never using it again until you get home.
  • Zois not using their raincoats when raining.
  • Zois having their pathing fight with another zoi and/or object on the floor, which could lead to death from needs depletion at worse, being super annoying and ridiculous at best.
  • “Complete a workbook” - completing from the first second of setting it down on the table.

(Oh dev told us that some of these are not bugs ? Well I vehemently disagree… It might be thanks to their code, but to me it’s a buggy mess, stop messing with routines to force my game to be played a specific way, stop removing things that worked fine and that nobody asked to be changed).

Oh and I just went off the top of my head on that list.
I’m sure if I take the time to think about it, I could come with way more.

On the other hand, the game is being streamed by major bloggers like SatchOnSims (300k followers), and yes, they also think the game is “a pile of __ as every early access title”, for now they don’t recommend it, since it’s far from ready for release, especially in 2026 (2028–2029 “being honestly”, as they say). But they note “moving in the positive direction”, and that’s an important signal for the inZOI team.

The most important thing is that they understand the concept of Early Access, and the shift from negative to positive feedback happened literally over the course of a series of videos. Their audience is huge, so inZOI Team, take note, it’s all for you.

I believe, however, that players here on the forum are not asking for the game to be perfect, but rather sufficiently playable without excessive frustration :slightly_smiling_face:

I think that all of us who are playing regularly have a lot of love for the game and also respect for Kjun and the team. I believe that only if someone plays it constantly, with different playstyles, experimenting with all the interactions, building modes and so on, is it possible to bring to light all the bugs, shortcomings, wishes, etc.

If everyone abandons it, what’s the point of Early Access? I think it’s fundamental to maintain the game at a level of sufficient playability over time. Or do only streamers count and regular players count for nothing? :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself well, it’s very late here and maybe I’ll come back to it
