Additionally, we would love to see a house aging system in the game. Just like furniture wears down over time, houses could also visually age as time passes. For example, walls could develop cracks, doors could break, wooden floors or tiles could wear out, and plaster could deteriorate. This would give homes a more realistic, old, and lived-in appearance over time and add a lot of immersion to gameplay.
There was one before and since we could not repair each item, it was voted out.
Devs changed it and I have not seen houses getting old again.
I’m all for putting it back it, but with 4 conditions :
#1 - A slider independent of the “Appliance Durability” option, so we can decide how long this could take
#2 - Maybe it’s linked to #1, but either a “switch off” button, or if set to lowest with the slider, then does not decay.
#3 - An possibility to repair/revamp the house like new, without having to manually replace each item or be forced to delete the house and put it back up again. I’m fine if it costs money, but I want the option, please.
#4 - If I am exporting a house on Canvas which has aged a lot, I want the option to upload it either as the current worn out one, or a pristine new version of it, without finicking in-game for hours to either age it, or repair it.
I am all for it, but if any of the four conditions is not met, I will fight to have it removed again, 100% sure.
100% agree to your conditions. Without those, please don’t bring the aging house / furniture system back. I’m too lazy to replace every single object by hand or the house all over again.
And replacing the furniture in the EXACT spot is a major PITA.
In some occurrences it means moving walls around even. I’d rather not, for obvious reasons.

They should be included under the conditions that Samuriko mentions.
Otherwise, it becomes a…I can’t think of a word that can be translated adequately…deadly boredom, let’s say. Before, aging was really exaggerated.
I age my Zois very slowly, the young adults created in March are in the adult or middle-aged phase now, while the furniture was aged in just a few days.
Yes, I agree with Samuriko’s suggestions. Attached is a screenshot from yesterday from one of my households.
Another household that is quite a bit older and was back in rotation with the Zoi families. I have put together the used furniture for viewing. The bathtub in this house has also suffered considerable scratches, and constant cleaning has had no effect.
Actually, it looks great. My reason for leaving The Sims 4 was that Inzoi was so realistic. Some Sims players compare Inzoi to The Sims, but Inzoi is a far better game than The Sims. And what sets Inzoi apart from other simulations is this realism, and I don’t understand how you wouldn’t like it. I’m in favor of the walls and floorboards showing signs of aging, so we can demolish the house and build a new one, just like in real life. I think these things should be there. Get used to it… ![]()

This could be an interesting mechanic if we could replace obsolete items by clicking on them. Right now, it’s unfinished and annoying
You get used to it. After nearly 4900 hours of Sims 4, I uninstalled Simd 4 for exactly this reason (because of the realism)

Nevertheless, I would like to have the option to repair things or replace them with a click, as treeofowl suggested.
Only on the condition that it can be disabled. Builders invest a lot of time and effort in houses and the like.
