The Legacy Player’s Wish Manifesto: Preserving the “Living Soul” of our Zois
To the inZOI Development Team:
As a dedicated Legacy Player, I don’t just play a game; I cultivate a living history. I watch my Zois being born, growing up, and forming identities. For players like us, the greatest dilemma is the loss of these characters to aging and the “void” of unhoused status. We want our cities to feel like Organic Communities, not just a collection of isolated households.
Core Feature Requests: Building a “Clan Village”
- High-Density Living & Multi-Family Residential Units
We need the ability for multiple playable families to reside in a single apartment or building. Like the dynamic system in The Sims 3, we want to hear our neighbors behind the walls and see them in the hallways.
Request: Allow multiple separate households to occupy one lot/building.
- Autonomous Lot Placement & Scalability
The “World Editor” freedom is essential. Players should be able to manually place lots of various sizes anywhere in the city.
Request: Give us the tools to adjust lot sizes and positions autonomously to create “Clan Villages”—where three generations can live on the same street, supporting each other (e.g., grandparents helping with a sleep-deprived granddaughter’s newborn).

Expanding Map Capacity & Residential Areas
Don’t let our hardware hold back the vision! For players who build PCs specifically for this game, we want more residential space and larger city areas to accommodate hundreds of generations without feeling crowded. "Of course, to ensure that players with lower-end PCs can also fully enjoy the game, I would like to suggest providing a ‘World Size Slider’ that allows players to freely limit or expand the total area of the cities based on their system’s performance.Do you remember how the early versions of Minecraft had strictly limited world boundaries? Over time, it evolved to offer choices: players can now start with a contained, limited-size world or dive into a vast, virtually infinite one.
Implementing a similar level of flexibility in inZOI would be a game-changer. It would allow the game to be accessible to everyone—those with modest setups can play in optimized, compact cities, while those with high-end rigs can push the limits by building expansive metropolises and massive Clan Villages. This kind of scalability is key to a truly inclusive simulation experience."
The “Waiting Family” Workaround: A Bitter Solution
Currently, my only way to save my beloved Zois is to move them to the “Waiting Family” list and check “No Aging.”
The Reality: This is the “lesser of two evils.” Their time is frozen—they no longer fall in love, learn new things, or have a child.
The Hope: While I’m grateful I can still “Invite them over” or run into them in the city, I want a future where they can live and evolve alongside my active household without being “packaged” away due to lot limitations.
Appeal
We want inZOI to be a world that feels truly alive. We want to see our 2nd and 3rd generations thriving in the houses we built for them next door. Please empower the Legacy Players to keep the “Soul” of their Zois alive within the city’s fabric.
- From a dedicated Legacy Player who believes in the infinite potential of inZOI.
Final Appeal
"I have a specific vision for how the world of inZOI should expand, focusing on socio-economic zoning, seasonal travel, and the profound persistence of human relationships.
- Sophisticated Urban Zoning (Downtown vs. Uptown)
I hope to see a clear distinction between Downtown and Uptown areas. For the Uptown districts, I’m envisioning high-end, prestigious atmospheres inspired by:
The West Coast Vibe: Bel Air, Hillsborough, and Malibu in California.
The East Coast & Mountain Luxury: Greenwich (Connecticut), Cherry Hills Village (Colorado), and Asheville (NC).
The Tropical Gold Coasts: Palm Beach (Florida), Gables Estates (Coral Gables), and the exclusive shores of Naples (Port Royal/Aqualane Shores).
-
Seasonal Travel & Vacation Homes
Much like the ‘World Adventures’ in The Sims 3, I want Zois to be able to travel to different regions during vacations and purchase second homes. Whether it’s a summer villa or a winter retreat, owning property in a foreign locale adds a layer of depth and achievement to a Zoi’s life. -
The Persistence of ‘In-yeon’ (Fate) and Karma
One critical point is that relationships should not break when a Zoi travels between their hometown and a vacation destination. In Korean culture, we have a beautiful concept called ‘In-yeon’—the idea that a meeting between two people is a ‘miraculous probability’ that changes their destinies and enriches their lives.
Fate & Karma: Relationships are not easily severed; they follow a person wherever they go. I hope the game reflects this—Karma (both good and bad) and the ties of ‘In-yeon’ should remain continuous across all cities.
Social Culture: It would be wonderful to see a mechanic where friendly families can travel to vacation homes together during breaks, reflecting real-world social cultures.
- Advanced Criminal Mechanics (Kleptomania)
Regarding the darker side of Zois: currently, even if a Zoi breaks into a house, there isn’t much they can actually ‘steal.’ I’d love to see a ‘Kleptomaniac’ trait or a functional stealing mechanic where items can be taken and perhaps fenced or kept, making the criminal path feel more rewarding and ‘alive.’ "
