This is the simple way make photos for picture frames in inZOI, this is the fastest and most efficient way ✓
First of all picture size does not matter as long as the image is square, however if you use small images like 256x256 they may be blurry so a higher resolution is better, most of the images that I use are 1024x1024, the largest I have used are 4000x4000 and the smallest I have used are 512x512.
Second: File type, I only use PNG and JPG, PNG is best quality because it does not pixelate when being saved, JPG is arguably best because they look great and the pixelation does add more depth making the image look more sharp, I have found that JPEG will not show up to be uploaded in inZOI, the fastest way to fix this is to rename the file from JPEG to JPG, I have not tried GIF images because they’re only good for animation and have very bad quality.
Ok now that you know to make your image square and to use PNG or JPG lets talk about how to make an image square
If you have an image that is horizontal wide or vertical tall and you upload it to be used in game the image will stretch and be used as a square like this
First image 528x704, Second image 528x704 stretched in game to 704x704, Third image 704x704 square
so we have this 528x704 image that needs to be square
open the image in your photo editor and change canvas size and make the smallest number the same as the largest number, this image is 528x704 so this image needs to be 704x704, then fill in the areas on both sides with a color (personally I add a layer and color it then merge the two layers) then save as PNG or JPG and it should look like this original image in a square
if you do not make the image square it will be stretched to a square in game and will look like this
once you have made your image square it will look like this in game
the last part is self explanatory, you’ll see the size you need to adjust and the horizontal slider, usually you don’t have to change vertical slider, only in cases where you have to make the images a little larger and prefer to see more sky or ground.
So Three steps: 1 make sure image is PNG or JPG, 2 make sure image is square, 3 put it in inZOI picture frame ![]()
