We apologize for the inconvenience.
inZOI can not load JPEG, it can load PNG and JPG files, an easy fix to to rename the file extension from JPEG to JPG, then they can be uploaded to inZOI ![]()

They are like siblings, however when I choose file to upload the JPEGs don’t even show up to be selected, then I close the upload texture in game, open the folder and change all JPEGs to JPG then go back to game and then they are there and can be selected to upload
Idk if they work from your external site going into inZOI, but I create in the game only putting textures on zoi’s clothing and making pictures in furniture, the first time I noticed this was when I was uploading a batch of images that I created on multiple ai sites and some wasn’t showing up, so I went to my folder that I had the images in and noticed that all of the JPEG files did not show up and couldn’t be selected, so I changed them to JPGs and then went back to inZOI and they was there to be uploaded

You can call me Joy
my user name is Joy Is Funner, and I love to help bring understanding ![]()
Inzoi is the first game I’m making textures for, so I apologize if my questions seem silly ![]()
When I started uploading textures, I searched for information on Reddit and it said the best format was 8192x8192.
Even though I have a mid-range laptop, I’ve never had any problems and I have quite a few of that size.
But I put the textures on the clothes I upload to Canvas, so could it be a problem for people who download them?

First: Thank you so much for this tutorial!
This will be so helpful since I’ve always wordered how to get the textures ‘seemless’ and ‘tileable’ (I’m not sure if these are the correct words ^^’ make them so they allign properly).
I’ll definitely try this ![]()
I’ve also often wondered what the correct size for the pics and textures I bring ingame is.
I tend to have quite a lot of them and I usually keep them at 1000x1000 and I never had quality issues.
Except I zoom far far in, but for taking the pics for my story it’s crisp enough.
Is there a way to find out which size the original textures from the inZOI devs have?
I don’t use Krita but Photopea, the free version
You can set whatever dimensions you want, although one time instead of 8192 I wrote 81922 and it froze ![]()
The texture size doesn’t seem to have much impact on the dimensions though.
For example, this texture is 2048.
This one 8192.
Huh, it’s even smaller?
This is a sweater identical to the one in the second screenshot, but with 2048 texture. It seems heavier, so I’m not understanding much.

Thank you! And don’t worry. For me that’s enough to know so I roughly have an idea ![]()
But it would be interesting to know if canvas really lowers the size.
Maybe as a precaution? So if players download many mods, it doesn’t cause crashes?
So it somehow doesn’t matter at all if we make the image larger?
Yes, I thought about that too, maybe Canvas automatically reduces the dimensions, so there’s no point in making them very large.
Thank you for your answers.
