“Stone pickaxe is only good for getting the mica stones. You need better pickaxe. Slowly upgrade. When you find your first copper use it to make a copper pickaxe and you will find more copper and some iron. With your first iron make steel pickaxe and eventually you will find silver. Keep advancing like that. Note there are 4 different mine spawns (normal, silver, gold and mixed) so don’t focus only on the normal ones which unfortunately there are too much of.”
With this I mean, you need to collect better materials to upgrade your picaxe to mine “better” materials.

Build up your handiwork skill to unlock the premium pickaxe then click on that and you get the option to make the better ones , Make a few stone pickaxes first to level up and sell the spare ones
