Canvas Problem, PLEASE HELP?

I am able to download and install mods from CurseForge and Nexus. I am sorry this is the 3rd post relating to the same subject, but I am really annoyed by this. I have uploaded some of my creation to Canvas. And see that many have downloaded them. But I can NOT download and install ANY mods from Canvas. An example is a Mini Cooper, the very car I have in real life. I can not find a Mini Cooper in any other Inzoi mod sites. I have repeatedly tried several times to download and install. Last hour I tried again, it said downloading in Canvas, but no sign of the downloads anywhere. A search in the Mods page in Inzoi reveals nothing found. I can not even find where the downloaded files are on the PC. WHERE ARE THEY? Its as if they downloaded and vanished ! Not in the Mods folder, Blue Client/paks/mods~, no where to be found. The Steam folder paths are ALL correct. I am a little upset by this. Thank you for any help.

Can you send the link to the mini cooper in Canvas? It might be a 3D object generated in game and not a mod.

Thanks reply. Not sure what you mean ā€˜generated in game’? I only have the driveable or rideable cars and M/bikes. No Mini’s are listed. There is also the one default car, but that is an object (not driveable). I will have to contact Krafton support (ticket) to find out what is happening.

To Moooody. This is the link for the Mini Cooper. Thank you so much.

Hi Rickie, have you looked here? or in the printer?

This is not a mod. I’ts a 3D Object that has been uploaded to the game via inzoider or any other plugin. When you are in Canvas, you can scroll down to see if there is a section called ā€œmod infoā€ where the mods are listed, like below.

If there isn’t such section, then it is most likely a 3D Object created in game or put in game by someone, then uploaded to Canvas. These do not need to be installed, they install automatically, but you need to know where to find them.

As @juegaterapia said, you can find these type of objects in ā€œfurniture presetsā€ inside of the ā€œbuilding presetsā€ section.

First time I have tried to download mods from Canvas. Picked a few mods, example:- a car and a motorcycle, and few others. Canvas downloaded them in my ā€˜Downloads’ folder on my PC. They are listed as zip folders with loads of jumbled letters and numbers. All of the zips have a file inside folder called ā€˜FModel’ (Application Type) I click on that and a ā€˜Fatal Error’…………’ appears ? No idea what to do next? Another suggested way I saw online was to install the mod from your STEAM account. Steam Account - Library- Inzoi, The Inzoi page come up. and the online info says click on the ā€˜C’ top RH Corner. There is NO ā€˜C’ top right hand corner? I have downloaded and installed the Mod Enabler into the Inzoi Steam, Inzoi folder. I tried moving the zip folder or the FModel file into the ā€˜Mods~’ folder but nothing shows up in Inzoi. This is unbelievable! I had a friend with me who is a PC wiz-kid, and he could not work it out either. In Sims 4, downloading and installing mods was simple, a ā€˜piece of cake!’ Kraftons ā€˜piece of cake’ is like cutting into a rock with a plastic knife!

Hi there! Mods from Canvas are instantly downloaded and installed, both. You don’t need to do anything to the folders that you get. There’s currently and on going bug that makes mods not appear even when you have them installed.

Here’s how to fix it:

  1. On the homescreen, go to ā€œmodsā€.
  2. Search for the mod that doesn’t appear in the list.
  3. Click ā€œValidateā€. Or disable and enable the mod again.

p.s. if Canvas downloaded the mods in your download folder, there must be something wrong with the pathing in your game installation. Canvas downloads the mods directly into the Documents > Inzoi > mods folder, so check your pathing in steam.

Honestly I’ve played many games with mods, not only life sims, and inzoi by far has one of the easiest, most intuitive mod system when it comes to downloading and installing.

Thank You for reply. Canvas does NOT load and install into the Mods folder directly. They are only downloaded into the ā€˜Downloads’ folder of my PC. The Steam Installation (pathing) of Inzoi on my PC IS correct. As said I tried manually to install the mod zip folder and also one ā€˜FModel’ file into the ā€˜mods~’ folder under the ā€˜Paks’ folder. But NOTHING appears in Inzoi as installed, and needing to be enabled. This really does annoy me. Krafton IS like, ā€˜cutting a rock with a plastic knife’. NOT simple like Sims 4! I will try to download a mod from Nexus Mods, or CurseForge and see if that works?

The Curse Forge mods install fine. I still can not work out why the Canvas mods will not work?

To itsmechiile7. Your subject ā€˜Here’s how to fix it’ You don’t really understand. The Mods Homescreen. Search for mod. The search can not find anything? I can not validate if there is nothing found? I have tried moving the mod (zip folder) into BlueClient/Content/Paks /Mods~. Also Tried steamapps/inZoi/mods. Nothing shows up, and the search shows nothing. CurseForge and Nexus mods DO install OK, so that is something positive. I have uploaded 2 Preset Creations in Canvas, and have had several of my creations downloaded, BUT I can not get any Canvas downloads to work.

Please, correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t mods supposed to go in the Documents/InZOI/Mods/88849 folder? That’s for mods meaning custom content like clothes, hair, shoes, accessories, etc.

Canvas outfit presets, with or without mods, will appear in the Documents/InZOI/Canvas/My Appearances folder

Now, there’s another ~mods folder (in lowercase) that goes in the folder BlueClient/Content/Paks

I don’t know exactly which mods go there—in mine there are only one or two—but the Curseforge mods, or at least most of them, are in the folder I mentioned at the beginning.

At least that’s how it is for me, and that’s how I understand it; like I said earlier, correct me if I’m wrong. @Rickie, I hope this helps you in any way.

I think the issue is you don’t understand how Canvas mods work. Canvas mods are Curseforge mods that people have used in their own creation when uploading the creation to Canvas. When you download the creation, the Curseforge mods associated with it downloads into your computer like any other Curseforge mod.

If you shared screenshots of your issue, or even a short video, or a link to whatever you want to download that is not downloading, maybe we can help you. But if you don’t have any issue downloading Curseforge mods, you shouldn’t have them with Canvas.

That being said, two issues can happen when you download a mod through Canvas:

  1. Mod is automatically disabled in the mod manager. You have to go to the mod manager to enable it or it wont appear on you game at all.
  2. The creator shared a mod on Canvas that is not published on Curseforge, and therefore the mod simply won’t download or install no matter what you do.

Little reminder we are all players here trying to help other players voluntarily, so let’s talk to each other respectfully

Hope anything helps.

Thanks for reporting this. Would you please name the mods you’ve been trying to install or show us screenshots of them? It might help to identify the issue

You have been answered several times about this issue in the other posts you’ve made, by me and many others. What you are trying to install are not mods, they are 3D objects. You can find them in game in the build preset > furniture preset tab. You don’t need to do anything on your PC, the mods will appear in game automatically after downloading.

And you must put the details down when you do a bug report. Those details are important and are meant to help the devs understand the situation.
