My Answer…
NO ! NO NO NO… Noooooo !
This is the Best way to ruin games carefully planned for hours and maybe even dozen/hundred of hours.
Just NO !
Maybe add a cheat to revert those but depending on how fused you make this “irreversible event”, how intertwined it is with what has been happening in the simulation/zois over maybe hours itself, it might not even BE possible to make a cheat for that.
So no, please do NOT do that.

Hey friend can you explain the situation clearly?
Irreversible consequences.
It can be anything, Like zois suddenly decided of their own volition to hate each other (which they already do in-game in some case if left unattended). Well imagine you could not fix it.
Imagine any scenario where it just RUINS YOUR GAME and you cant fix it.
Maybe it’s a forced decision window, maybe it’s a piece of dialogue you answer casually without knowing.
Then 5-10-100 hours down the line, because of that event you may not even remember, your Zoi dies, or the family breaks up. And since it’s so long ago you won’t have a backup save for that.
There could be MANY examples of this, just telling you as I think about them in real time.
Like… Just no.
Make a kill-switch in the menu if you have that… And set it to off by default so it does not ruin games.

I completely agree with you. I don’t want my saved game to be messed up.

Maybe over reacting but far easier to make sure something potentially bad is well thought before it is implemented… From experience with the age groups, it took 10 months to fix that change (with the sider bars we now have)

While some drama can be refreshing for certain save files or playstyles, I think this should come with an option to turn it off / on depending on how you play. That way we can decide what we want for which save file.

i think it’d make the game deeper and less of a dollhouse simulator, more a life sim… with this comes better Zoi autonomy and behavior, deeper personality. i’m not sure how you’d make this an option or a toggle, doesn’t feel plausible. But it is 2026, you never know. I do think the devs have to draw SOME lines in the sand, otherwise it won’t feel like much of a life sim anymore.

It is possible to have deep, unique and engaging zoi personalities without having a dead-end game where you just croak and die because way back, 30 hours ago, when you where a child you answered a pop-up question which now have an effect as you are halfway through young adult.
Or for some reason (and Zoi have funny ideas at times) your stable, happy family just takes a dark turn because one zoi decided after 5 kids and 20 years(days) of marriage that they are not happy anymore and wants to hit the streets to see if “they can do better” than their boring/aging beautiful half.
Ppl want chaos, drama, uncontrollable actions that ruins their game.
Who am I to judge, maybe they get bored playing InZOI, maybe they dislike stable and constant every day life they have build in the game… maybe they just want to play until it breaks from the chaos and keep rolling new games…
They can play how they want, but I’d like to keep playing how I like as well… Even if it is an idealized version of the 1950-1960 American “ideal family” which would be utterly boring to others.
I do not want the game to be forced into a direction where it’s very hard / next to impossible to play the ideal life any more. And since past implementation HAVE broken some classic gameplay and took months to restore (in some case not as good as it was before), it has taught me to be pro-active and skeptical of changes, especially those that could irreversibly affect my game.
I DO WANT immersive personalities and unique Zois… I just want to be able to have the type of game I enjoy while having all those cool new options.

The city karma is extremely positive. However my Zoi's keep making ridiculous automatic negative interactions. - #6 by Mazikeen I wasn’t paying attention to Zoi anyway, and automatically they started insulting each other and ended their marriage.
This nonsense needs to be corrected.

Optional, everything should be optional. Chaos or stability, it has to be the player’s choice. Always.
That said, I have always liked some drama, even a little chaos in my game, but all of this needs to be reversible, people (zois) being allowed to change their minds and then change them back again if they feel like it. That’s all I ask, make any new option, especially for irreversible consequences, optional. Thank you,

I have no idea what they (the players) mean. To be honest, I really like that zois can suddenly and unexpectedly die in Inzoi. It’s a big difference between Inzoi and the sims 4 where all deaths, other than old age, basically had to be orchestrated by the player. But I can’t imagine what other “irreversible consequences” they could be talking about

Why not just make more saves, or change the autosave frequency? I like the idea of long-term consequences personally. I want to feel that my actions in game are making a difference to my Zois. There should be ways to avoid the obnoxious random deaths (from electrocution etc.), or turn them off entirely, but otherwise I don’t have a problem with it.
