Issue Date: 12/04/2026
Error Message: None
Details:
I have updated the game yesterday. The game starts normally. When I select my last savefile (from 15th March 2026), a menu asks me for the update of lots. Then is displayed an infinite loading screen. I tried to wait 5 hours.
I never experienced any crash or technical problem with the game before.
I have two families on this savefile: One is on the aram domain lot, the other one is on the Mugunghwa lot.
I tried to launch a New Game. The game work without any problem.
Can you please try to open the old save file in-game and, once the lot-size-update window pops up, deny it. If I remember correctly, you should be able to cancel it and update them via the game’s settings later on. It’d be useful to see whether this stops the game from loading infinitely
The save file´s last save takes place on the Mungunghwa lot. On the lot update screen I hear my zois talking whilst the screen in the background is blurred.
The game lets me the choice to tick/untick lots I want to update. Both Mugunghwa and Aram domain (where my families live) are ticked by default and cannot be unticked. At the bottom, two choices : a blue proceed button and a cancel button. However the cancel button is greyed and cannot be selected. If I want to go back I have no other choice than to restart the game.
I then tried to manually update the lots through the main menu, following the path mentioned at the top of the lot window. But once again, the button is greyed and cannot be selected.
Thank you for clarifying this. I haven’t seen the pop-up since launch of the update, so I wasn’t aware of the greyed out cancel button, unfortunately.
Could you upload the affected save file here in a reply? I’d like to test it in my setup, to see if there’s a possible workaround, so you can enjoy the game again. Also the team can detect and fix the bug faster with this as additional source of info. If you haven’t uploaded a save file before, here’s a short guide: How to Send User Files to The inZOI Team (Updated)
Yes, I was able to access the files now. Thank you =)
As I put it into my save files folder to test it, I noticed that it didn’t have the same structure and files as my own ones or the numerous saves I’ve tested over the past months.
Here’s a screenshot where I highlighted the parts which are not common for inZOI save files from Windows + Steam:
With and without changing the folder’s structure / deleting the uncommon files, I can’t access your save file either. Just as described in your og post, there’s an infinite loading screen following the “update lots” pop-up.
