Game Crashing when loading a save

  • Game Version: 0.4.0

  • Platform: (Steam)

  • Mods: (never used)

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…): Windows 11 version 25H2, CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700x 8-core, RAM: 32GB, GPU: Radeon RX 7700 XT, 2.73TB storage (1.23TB used)

  • Issue Date: 9/11/26 ongoing

  • Error Message: N/A

  • Details: Game opens and loads main menu fine, but whenever I try to load a save or start a new game, it crashes when it reaches the final ‘canvas’ loading page.

  • Game was working fine on the new update until the 9th

  • Attached is a screenshot I managed to take right before the game crashed

  • Game Version: newest v04.4

  • Platform: Steam; Windows 10

  • Mods: (Choose one: never used / removed / active)
:round_pushpin:If you have used mods before, please list them: Active mods - just clothing, hair - is not the issue (except for stealing space in system drive(!))

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (Win 10, HP OMEN 15 Laptop, Not enough space on system drive for Inzoi saving data while launch):

  • Issue Date: 19.11.2025

  • Error Message: none

  • Details: When you load a save the game will crash(or just close, idk) because there’s not enough space on system drive.
  • Was no issue before update at all.
  • If you free space(or the system thinks u do) game will eventually load and be reasonably playable with my requirements. No issues with mods, no crashes.
  • Only issue is you will be told there’s no space to save the game. (Although it saves)
  • Tried to load the saved game next day but got the same issue of game closing before able to load the save. (probably due to lack of space, again)
  • Suggesting to quickly offer a fix to emulate/store game data on drive of choice and not system drive.

Hi @demonkyoko
I’ve merged your topic into an existing post about the loading save issue so all related information stays together

I just checked the system requirements and noticed your processor is under ‘minimum’.
That could be the reason it’s not loading anymore, I guess(?)
inZOI is already a demanding game and they keep on adding new stuff with every update.
Afaik the team is lowering the requirements for consoles and lower-end PCs, but this might take a while. It’s still early access and there’s a lot to improve.

Thanks @LennyOgg but I was able to play in the past :frowning: it changed with the update… I was even able to play my last saved game, but then it show an error message (I don’t remember which one) and then it crashed. Now it crashes when loading a game with no error message :frowning:

Yes, crashes after updates still happen a lot, sadly.
I hope there will be fixes soon and you can play again :psycat_paw:

Have you tried reinstalling and starting a new save?
(Before doing this, backup your save files you want to keep to a separate folder)

That was gonna be my next move :frowning: Reinstalling the game. Hopefully it will work

Thanks for the help, tho

Did you already do a file check with Steam? It solved a couple of issues for me a few months back.

Huh, I thought that was included in the guide but it isn’t! I wonder why? This already helped so many players here.

Yeah, I thought so too, but not a word of it in the guide. I’ll try to keep it in mind and add it to most replies xD
