The lighting in the Character Studio is far too bright, and there is no way to edit the luminosity/brightness of the lights whatsoever. Not only is this a problem for making portraits within the studio, it’s also a problem for trying to assess the right colors to use for a zoi’s skincolor, hair, clothing, etc since the brightness makes the colors look too different.

Admittedly, I have a TN monitor, which have a tendency to have high gamma, but since I’ve got it I’ve changed the settings of my monitor to tone down brightness and gamma and have had no issues with it since. Before the update the studio lighting was perfectly fine.

I’ve already tried to slide the brightness down within the game, but it does not fix the issue of the lights in the studio simply being too bright. the colors will still look deformed since the luminosity of the lights themselves is too high. darker background lighting also does not fix the issue of the studio lights themselves being too luminous/bright.

I had to compress the video a lot to get it be below 30mb, so colors might not be 100% accurate but it’s still pretty evident the lighting is too bright. also my graphics settings in screenshots.

a fairly simple solution to this issue is to add brightness/luminosity sliders within the CAZ for the lighting similar to how the photo mode in Cyberpunk 2077 has these sliders as well so each person can adjust it to their liking.

I noticed that too, even at the hair salon the hair color during styling looks different than it does in real life. For sure all my Sims with brown hair look like they’re blondes in CAS.

I specifically checked the hair color of my Sim and can see the difference. It’s the same character in CAS and in life mode.

I thought it was just me. Hair is like 10 shades lighter and skin 5 shades lighter in CAZ than in game. Having to guess what something will actually look like is not only aggravating, it defeats the purpose of CAZ.

yep, brown hair looks far too blonde in the CAZ. Light skin tones also gets incredibly inaccurate because of the reflecting lights. Makes it look like u’re staring into high beams lol.

Unfortunately, at the hairdresser it’s very noticeable and annoying. A lighting fix patch supposedly came in today, but I don’t see it on my end, while at the hairdresser it’s completely random color matching.
