Parts of the house exterior look old / dirty - cleaning does not help - how to fix?

I have noticed this after playing a while that some houses get dirty / old and dusty stairs, roofs outside floor tiles. Also the entrance gate looks old and dusty. Same for the outside trash bin and the mailbox.

I tried cleaning the entire house several times, this does not help. When you click on the stairs or gate etc. there is also no option to do something about it. Is the only option to replace this with a new roof or new stairs, new gates etc.? And why is this even happening?

I’ve had this before where I could not reach a dirty spot in one of my builds. I used the instant cheat to fix it - maybe you can try it and see if it works for you as well.

Wow, I’ve never had a roof get dusty!

I can understand the steps and other build mode items getting dusty because our zois can actually clean there.

But the roof?? That makes no sense to me.
