So, this issue has been here for a whileand I really don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Not only this house, but the last house I built also seem to turn dirty INSTANTLY. I tried fixing it by moving and moving bacl - the instant clean cheat doesnt help either. The first 2 Screenshots were when I just moved in again and the last one the SECOND they put a foot in the house. I’ve had this problem in Cahaya and Bliss Bay. I have no dirt stains and I’ve had my Zois clean 2 bdays straight and had professional cleaning 2-3 times now and the dirt count does not get less.
One of the boys is now a cleanliness freak and is constanrly grumpy.
That would be the fact that ANY decoration at all including mats and toilet paper trigger a filthy house you cannot have any type of non functioning decoration in the house if you want your house clean. I stopped building houses with any type of dirt triggering decoration, what a shame we have so much beautiful decoration that cannot be used. No matter how much you clean and weed your garden it remains filthy with that horrible nagging cat saying every 2 seconds it seems that your house is filthy. If you keep any decoration in the house at all it will be dirty. If you are a collector and put out beautiful carved gems to look at on display it will trigger filthy. If you like to have the cuter fish in fish tanks the one fish tank instantly drops the clean house to half, even the beautiful turtles that you get for releasing fish from the green planet make your house dirty or the ones you find in treasure hunt at the resort. You cannot collect or have anything beautiful inside your house or you will constantly be nagged about a filthy house and your clean freak will remain miserable and everyone in the house will do NOTHING else but clean all day trying to clean the uncleanable house. Decoration is considered trash, food on table is considered trash even if it’s perfectly edible, baking and mixed drinks and coffee out is considered trash so you cannot leave cookies out for children to snack on, house plants that are not interactive and flowers are considered trash, toilet paper and bath towels and toothbrushes and handsoap is all considered trash. Empty your house of everything but the basic furniture and interactive items and suddenly you will see a perfectly clean house. Until you make dinner again and put it down the house will be half filthy again. You cannot play a collector unless you store your collection on the streets or beach so that your house stays clean but some of the decoration is trash and city workers will clean it up. I wish that decoration would improve the house but it does the opposite, put out a fish tank put a fish inside wait 20 mins to 30 mins zoi time and house will be half dirty.
That’s so sad actually I get liking minimalism, but having non-usable items around just makes everything feel a bit more realistic and human - even if it’s just a toilet paper roll or some pencils.

Correct ! The cleanliness freak trait is entirely useless if you live in a nicely decorated home that Zoi will remain annoyed and angry at the filthy house they live in.
It annoys me all to high heaven since I love so many of the beautiful decorations and collectibles in the game that remain useless. Kinda like buying your toddler a teddy bear is useless or winning them a claw machine toy since the moment you put it out. Your adult Zoi will walk over to it and toss out the toy, no idea why a teddy bear or claw machine bear even has the toss out option.
It is sad since its so hard to win a teddy from the claw machines at times costing hundreds of mew to win one and the second it’s put out BOOM it’s tossed.. and the child can’t play with it

Minus for the developers. First and foremost, fix the bugs and don’t let them appear in future updates. But they write that a bug is fixed, and then it appears again.
Besides the fact that when returning from Kohaii to your own city the ability to upgrade ambitions disappeared, the fish brought back for the aquarium, trophies and artifacts also turned out to be junk =))
Not only that but since the last update the Cleanliness Ambition now is near impossible to get since sweeping mopping vacuuming and doing laundry in a steam closet now doesn’t trigger your houseworking skill at all.. only washing tubs that aren’t dirty and dishwashers that aren’t dirty and doing laundry in the One good front load machine from what i can tell that’s the only things connected to housework now… not sure if the refurbish is still connected haven’t refurbished since update.
Oh my goodness! 1. I had my Zoi gift his girlfriend a luxury handbag… She was happy when she received it. I placed it on her dressing table, but then she “cleaned up” by tossing it in the trash!! Also, any veggies they harvest, the “clean up” by trashing it if they are placed on a table. It’s really strange and sad
