• At first, I thought it was a bug caused by a mod, but after four hours of troubleshooting using the default methods, I found that the house’s cleanliness level didn’t change. Even after removing the mod(In the root directory and in the document), it remained at 3/4 dirty. I even created a new property with positive cleanliness without any mods (really none installed), and found that no matter how much Zoi vacuumed, the cleanliness level wouldn’t change, and cheat codes didn’t work.

  I searched online for solutions, but to no avail. I found that a player reported this issue last September, but there haven’t been any replies to that post.

  This makes Zoi with its obsessive-compulsive tendencies, get +2 of annoyance every day, and the cat keeps telling me the room needs a thorough cleaning…

• And I’ve discovered an even worse fact: without mods, the cleanliness value drops to -3/4 after a certain period of time in DOWON Heights properties, or after triggering certain processes. This is affecting gameplay,I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

I have the same issue in several areas in Dowon and Cahaya too, after December update. The level of cleanliness in houses drops to zero, or minus, and remains fixed. It’s impossible to raise it any higher. Cat keeps saying that the house is dirty. Zois vacuum floors like crazy, 24/7, and basically they do nothing else. And nothing helps. I deleted all mods and 3D objects. I called a cleaning service and did some rearranging. Removed the home and reinstalled it. I even tried using the code to stop dirty, but nothing works. The problem persists on my previously created lots. However, when I started a new game and wanted to place my old house I built myself, it became dirty again.
This is so sad… please, help us!

This is a MAX lvl in my Dowon house (Mugunghwa villa), in my Cahaya home (air house) it is constant minus. Also minus in Hangyeol house.

Pls add it to known issues cuz it’s definitely an issue ingame!

Yeah, it’s not just Dowon Heights, albeit not as extreme for me as -3/4. And I think it was an issue since March. It’s even on YouTube since March or early April.

The cleaning service, yeah, doesn’t work, although it occasionally produces some story-worthy moments.

Like, I call the premium service on a Monday morning, the poor lady kept vacuuming through the night and only went away sometime on Tuesday when I was at work. Around 10 PM I went into the build mode and put a snacks machine out back so she doesn’t starve, and by the looks of it, she needed it. Nope, still no full cleanliness bar.

And I’m not talking about some grand mansion. That was on the second cheapest premade house.

Anyway, if the premium cleaner and 24 hours didn’t do it, what chance do I have, amirite?

That said, one thing does work for me since 0.5.0: completing the Neat Freak ambition and then using the new clean professionally option, or whatever it’s called. Well, works MOST of the time, but on some days even that doesn’t, no matter how many times I do it. And I don’t imagine that it’s an acceptable solution for most, since basically you have to spend half your life on an ambition that you might not otherwise want, just so you can have a clean house in your old age.

Just wanted to add, I’m starting to suspect that it could also be some kind of delayed synchronisation issue, in case that helps anyone fix it. Like, I’d have 3 family members manically vacuuming, and the bar doesn’t move, and then suddenly it jumps up. Or I could swear that at one point I’ve done the professional cleaning 3 times in a row in the evening and nothing moved, gave up, went to sleep, and then the house was clean in the morning.

Just saying, either this is some really wonky background job to recalculate it, or I just got visited by the Dirt Fairy and presumably she left me a dollar bill in the thrash bin

Yes, this has been an issue for quite a while now in my save files too. Could someone from the team please merge this with the already existing thread here: House always shows dirty on City Map?
