Forum Languages

I’d like to know how the forum’s language settings work, because when I change the language, all the messages change too. Usually on forums, changing the language only affects the interface, but here everything switches to the new language.

Hi @LapantinoPT, Well, in principle that thing about translating only the interface has always been something very poor and limited, but now sites like this one are better, right? Well, for me yes.

I think there are instructions about this topic on the forum, you can try looking for them, but just to give you a quick overview, first you select the forum language up here in the top right and if you want to write something inside the message where you want to write, you select the language again with the language icon so that the translator for others works.

cheers :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m so grateful for the automatic translation. Even if it’s not perfect, it makes it easier for us to communicate with fellow players across the globe that don’t speak the same language. We don’t have to copy posts and use an external translator. If it was like that, the majority of the forum would probably be written in English, and people who speak other languages would likely feel a bit discouraged from posting unless they’re confident in their English language skills.

So I can always write in my language (Portuguese) and other people will read it in their native language (chosen by them)?

Yes, that’s right. Right now I’m writing in Russian, and you’ll read this in your native Portuguese.

Well it really does work anyway, thank you very much, by the way how did you get that builder role?

You can simply choose it in the forum settings :slightly_smiling_face:
