Automatic Translation for inZOI Forums (Updated 12/16)

Hi Creators,

We’re excited to introduce automatic translation for inZOI Forums!

When the inZOI Forums first opened, we set a language policy.

However, we understand that if English is not your first language, reporting bugs or sharing feedback on the forums can be challenging.

To help, we’re pleased to introduce Automatic Translation to make participation easier and more accessible for everyone.

With this new feature, you can now take part in forum discussions using your preferred language.

How To Select Your Language (Updated)

You can now easily switch language from the right corner of the forum header.

All forum content including posts, menus, and buttons will then appear automatically translated into your selected language.

To view any post in its original language, simply click the ‘translation’ button.
Watch the video below for more details.

How to Post with the Correct Language Setting

For automatic translation to work properly, we highly recommend to follow this step when creating a topic or leaving a comment.

  1. Click the :globe_with_meridians: icon at the top of the editor

  2. Select the language that matches the one you’re writing in

This helps ensure that your post is translated accurately for others.

Want to Edit a Translation?

Automatic translations may not always be perfect. If you notice awkward or incorrect expressions in the translated version of your own post, you can edit the translation directly to help other users understand more clearly.

  1. Click the :pencil: icon at the bottom of the translated post

  2. Select the ‘Edit this translation’ button

  3. Make sure the selected language matches the one you’re writing in, then make your changes and save.

Your edits will help make the post easier to read for other Creators using that language!

:warning: Important Notes

  • This feature is currently in test mode and may change or be discontinued in the future.

  • The Forums currently support automatic translation for 13 languages.

    • English, Korean, Russian, German, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Japanese, and Polish
  • Automatic translations are provided to improve accessibility and may not always be perfect. For the most accurate experience, we recommend checking the original text when possible.

  • Please note that the translation currently prioritizes new posts, so translations for older content may be delayed. We appreciate your understanding.

We hope this feature helps more Creators engage, share feedback, and connect with the community.

Please share your feedback on how everything works!

Thank you for continuing to help us grow inZOI Forums into a space for everyone.

I have to say that sharing ideas with people across the globe about something I enjoy (lol) so much has been AWESOME.

Thank you for creating this space and giving us “babel fish” superpowers.

Thank you for adding this feature. The forum is a great place to share issues and excitment with other playes and the automatic translations are a helpful tool to help us understand each other.

However, since the translations are automatic, some of them are awkward and confusing for native speakers of other languages. Could we get somebody to take a look at some of the translations for the forum UI, like tags and categories to correct them? Automatic translations of the posts and comments are okay, but I feel like it would help non english native speakers a lot if we had at least some better translations just for the forum’s UI.
