Buggy mods that affect global game settings - dirt, snow.

So a not so fun 6hours and 594 mods later, 18 of the mods I had downloaded caused this bug to happen, those are as follows.

  • NOORA: Lazy Sunday Homewear Set
  • Chocoboboutique: ImHereAllNite_D42A0E07
  • Chocoboboutique: WhileYouRestFurCoat_66AE4013
  • Chocoboboutique: LateNiteDip_3BD144F9
  • Vanessa Afrika: Biker Shorts with Corset Crop Top
  • POGPUNG: Solero_Dress_6EF320FD
  • POGPUNG: Sol_dress_B71FD698

All of Hallowed_grace’s stuff that I have has this bug, so I assume that maybe all of their work is affected by it, but the ones I got installed and are causing this bug to appear are:

  • Hallowed_grace: Sienna Bikini
  • Hallowed_grace: Bonnie Swimsuit
  • Hallowed_grace: Coralie Bikini
  • Hallowed_grace: Babydoll Halter Corest
  • Hallowed_grace: One In A Million Collection

Everything I got from EbonyTiger also has this bug happen, and those were:

  • EbonyTiger: Off-Shoulder Minidress
  • EbonyTiger: Head Turner Dress
  • EbonyTiger: Club Goer Minidress

Everything from Mimozono also has this bug appear, as I have all of their mods, not difficult because they are fairly new and only have 3. Those are

  • Mimozono: Sweet Star ★
  • Mimozono: Lil Lace Sleep Shorts
  • Mimozono: Soft Breeze - INZOI

And that’s it, for having almost 600 mods, I was expecting more to be broken, though it took forever to find out which ones were the culprits because I have so many clothing mods. T_T

Anyhow, I dunno why this is happening, since it’s happening across different authors, I wonder if there is a guide that is wrong, or a video somewhere teaching them the wrong way to save and build their mods, I’ll see if I can contact them on Curseforge, from a glance not every author accepts comments on their mods, so if I can’t PM them, I guess that’s it. I need sleep now q.q

@Digitalcat You did an enormous amount of work! Thanks for sharing this with us.
I think the team should pay attention to the broken mods and figure out what’s causing the error.

Wow - @LeeLoo is right, that’s a lot of checking. Thank you for noting it here @Digitalcat it certainly saves us a lot time checking for ourselves :custom_heart:
I don’t see any furniture mods - it’s that right?

@VIBES None of my furniture mods seemed to have the issue, I could just be lucky, but could also be that those don’t have this issue.

@LeeLoo I hope so too! I contacted the mod authors from the list I posted, and some have already replied and are trying to look into why their mods are doing this, I’ll let you all know if one of them finds out why.

Oh that’s good to know and could explain why I’m not seeing a lot of bugs mentioned in the Forum.

Very likely yeah! Luckily having checked everything now that is in my mod list, it’ll be a lot easier to find out which future content I add causes this bug, thank god I did it now, and not in the future when I maybe would have had 900 mods.

For sure - I’ve been a bit hesitant to add mods for this exact reason because that folder grows quickly :sob::rofl::face_with_peeking_eye:

So true, I go in just to get one piece of clothing or furniture, and end up with 100 added.

Hello, I’ve just been made aware of this forum and this. I will reach out the inzoi team directly. I do not use wizard.. Thank you to everyone who has had patience during these exciting new updates that have added some complex new issues for us modders. We truly are doing our best. Modding is a full time jobs work between curating meshes, weight painting, texturing, thumbnails, fighting the buggy modkit we’ve been provided and then constant updates. I appreciate all of the support and feedback and I’ll post here when I have a solid solution or correspondence from the inzoi team. A quick solution on my end would be to remove all old mods until there is a solution to this. This is what I did for Sims in the past. In the meantime for your curiousity and if I don’t respond before they dol I’d keep eyes open from the Inzoi team directly for updates on what this issue is. Thanks so much. <3

Thank you so much for the complete list. :two_hearts:

Furniture is fine for me too. Mostly just clothing or big sets.

I’m having the same problem but I couldn’t detect which mod is causing it. Here what you reported is happening and a few more things, like dogs and cats that don’t move, frozen TVs, clocks that don’t work. I’m desperate

Try removing exactly half of the mods from the folder. If the bug persists, move half of the remaining mods again. Using this binary search method, you’ll eventually find the mod (or mods) causing the bug. The key thing to remember is that there might be more than one, and based on the broken item, it could be present in each of the sections — both the removed and the remaining ones. So filter gradually, and never mix the mods you’ve already verified as working with those that might still be suspect.

Oh! I’ve been using this wonderful method since Sims 2! It works great.
Recently I did the same thing in Inzoi, disabling and enabling mods. But here I improved it a bit—I disabled mods from certain unfamiliar authors.

I managed to find the mods. There were 4 skins from this creator

Great, congratulations!

Now it would be wonderful if someone could tell him about this error so he could fix his creations :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:

I sent him a message. I hope he sees it.

It would be nice if the team also found the error and gave mod creators clear instructions on „how NOT to do it.

Update: The 4 mods I found only fixed the frozen clocks bug, but the dogs and cats, flags, and city dirt are still there. I’m going back to look for the other mods
