I think this is the right place. With the new update and the holidays, I’ve noticed that when I take the trip, I arrive at the destination a week later. That is, I wanted to travel on a Monday in winter to spend Christmas with snow and to my surprise I arrived at Dowon on a Monday in Spring , however if I return to my city Bliss Bay, I’m back in winter again.
Is this normal? Is it like this or is it a mistake on my part? I also haven’t found much information about this.
I’m uploading the screenshots with the times so you can see that they are different seasons . What complicates me a bit is wanting to go on vacation on specific dates. Besides, I wanted to spend Halloween in Bliss Bay and Christmas in Dowon and for that I would have to leave on Halloween for Dowon, I really don’t like this system
@Ivlaya first of all I don’t know for sure if this can be intended by the game but it seems very strange.
I can tell you my experience which was more as expected: my Zoi went to Cahaya on a Monday in the winter and it was still Monday in winter when she arrived in Cahaya. So all the Christmas stuff was there as well. I haven’t travelled to Dowan though and also not Bliss bay as my Zoi lives there, so not sure if this bug might only occur for certain cities.
Hey, I don’t think it’s a real bug. It’s probably just something they overlooked — making sure the seasons are aligned. I say this because even if you start a new save and choose Dowon, it’s summer there, while for example in Bliss Bay it’s spring. I can’t remember about Cahaya… I might be wrong, but I think it’s something they’ll refine over time.
Please @EllaEstella, could you tell me if in your game, when you go on vacation and spend Christmas for example on the other island, when you return have you already passed Christmas or do you have to celebrate it again in your home city? I’m not clear on whether the days pass equally for the character you control or not. If that’s the case, I think it’s something they should modify because going away to celebrate a holiday that then repeats breaks the game’s roleplay a lot. Thanks!
Thank you, it’s that there was a moment when they were aligned but then they weren’t. @EllaEstella says she has them aligned when she travels. Do you also have a different station when you travel? and when you return, do you have to repeat the same station? I also think they should review this because it really messes up the story.
I think that when you travel it says that any events you have are canceled and the study place is an excused absence, which makes me think that days do pass in your home city when you’re traveling but I’m not sure and I can’t find information on the subject to help me know if it’s just me or if it happens to more people
I’ve been noticing these days that (like the last time I tried) if I leave from Dowon in summer, when I arrive at Cahaya it’s spring. It’s always been that way for me in the past too.
In the past, quite a few months ago, if I left from Bliss Bay in summer, when I arrived at Cahaya it was spring.
I’ve never come back from a trip because I never have enough time to play at my own pace So I couldn’t tell you about that. But I can tell you that I’ve played both without custom content and with custom content, and the seasons have never been aligned for me
It still doesn’t seem like a bug to me because if I start a save in Bliss Bay it’s always spring, and if I start one in Dowon it’s always summer… but if it works differently for you I wouldn’t know
Certainly if there’s no alignment it doesn’t make sense to leave “for Christmas” or summer vacation, which is a shame. You can always use cheats to change the season but I wouldn’t want problems to pop up with the calendar… or you could try calculating to leave in autumn from Dowon to arrive and experience summer in Cahaya
Thank you so much for your response, that was very kind of you. I have the feeling that there must be some error because I don’t think it’s normal to have moved to the following week. I’ll wait to see if someone can find out whether days have actually passed when he returns from vacation or not. I hope you review all of this soon.
@Ivlaya My Zoi just arrived back home in Bliss Bay. She left on a Monday in Winter. There was the Christmas celebration and all the decor in Cahaya while she was there. And upon arriving the game also gave me the “It’s winter in Cahaya” pop-up.
Now she went back on a Friday and upon arriving in Bliss Bay she again received the “It’s winter” pop-up. And I also received the notification that tomorrow is the year-end celebration. So all seems correct. and logical.
Now looking into her calendar I was surprised to see the spring event for Wednesday but that is already for the next week, which makes sense as spring is the next season.
Thank you so much for checking it out . Your game is correct, as it should be.
Mine drastically changes the season, I don’t like it because I can’t go celebrate the holidays somewhere else.
When I deleted and reinstalled everything, the first trip worked fine, then the second one and the rest advance one season when traveling and go back one season when returning. it’s frustrating
