my 2 zois are partners but one of them have the devoted characteristics. The other tries to interact by making them “become the sweetheart” option but the other refuses because of the “devoted” characteristics. But they are true love? Is this a bug? How can I fix this??
It’s a “loyal” trait meaning you can only have a romantic relationship with one person at a time. With the “loyal” trait you can’t have more than one romantic relationship.
Edit ; I noticed from the picture that you only have one relationship.
It’s a bug. Did you happen to age up from teens? In your pic, you can see that they are already sweethearts/partners, so they technically shouldn’t have the option to ask again, they should be able to get engaged/married. This issue occurs after aging up while already having a sweetheart. Unfortunately, you can’t really fix it because they aren’t able to break up (the game doesn’t think they are together). However, you can try using the custom zoi cheat and removing the devoted trait and try asking again. I don’t know if this is successful, I just put my save with this issue on pause until it’s fixed. Make sure to send your save to the devs if you can.
I have tried using the cheat but it says failed to apply. I’ve looked it up on several platforms and it seems that some people are experiencing the same? I’m not too sure, but yes it is very unfortunate
Then it might be that bug @PinkPassion mentioned, which is very annoying…
I wonder if it helps, if you change the traits and use the cheat to lower the relationship and then raise the relationship again (this also has a cheat I think), so it basically “resets” the relationship status. But I personally don’t know if that helps /:
I had the same issue, but have found a work around. Before they age up to young adults use the cheat setTrait [Zoi ID] [Trait ID] [Characteristic ID] [Characteristic ID]. That fixed it for me.
I did the cheat but it still came up like this, so I tried switching to another household member (her lover) to go ahead with the become sweetheart action. It worked!
@ShyBob I’m glad the cheat worked for you but the main bug hasn’t been fixed. You shouldn’t HAVE to change your trait to bypass this issue, it should be fixed by the devs.
