Subject: Future Expansion Concept & Community-Driven Content/Pricing Poll
To: Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim & the inZOI Development Team at Krafton
From: A Passionate Life-Sim Veteran (with nearly 2,000 hours in Sims 4 and already almost 150 hours in inZOI) … who is aware, that InZOI is NOT the sims and cannot be compared … it is new, fresh, Great
That’s why, I have reflected on finding an idea about something, what doesn’t exist already in TS4 and would be nice for InZOI
Introduction & Philosophy
As a long-time life-simulation player with close to 2,000 hours in the genre, I am incredibly excited about inZOI. To put my passion into perspective: despite inZOI being out for a much shorter total time compared to The Sims 4, I have already dedicated nearly 150 hours to the game. It has completely captured my interest because of how groundbreaking it is.
My suggestions are explicitly made under the premise that inZOI is entirely unique—it is not meant to copy existing franchises, but rather to elevate the genre using its stunning Unreal Engine 5 realism, open-world features, and advanced AI systems.
Please note that there is absolutely no rush or urgency with this proposal. Consider this a friendly long-term contribution from a dedicated fan—just in case you ever find yourselves looking for fresh, unique inspiration in the future!
Part 1: Strategic Recommendation (Community Polling)
Before diving into the theme, I highly recommend implementing a two-step community vote to foster the deep player collaboration Krafton is known for:
- Content Voting: Allow the community to vote on upcoming world themes, architectural styles, and gameplay focus areas.
- Pricing Transparency & Polls: To ensure fair monetization, poll the community regarding their willingness to pay for major premium content. Personally, as a dedicated player, I would be more than ready to pay a fair price (e.g., around €24.99 / $24.99) for a high-quality, mechanically dense DLC that expands the base game.
Part 2: The DLC Concept – “Crossroads of Culture & Luxury”
This DLC introduces two completely distinct, highly immersive environments that fully leverage inZOI’s photorealistic engine.
1. The World: A Fusion of European & Middle Eastern Heritage (“The Old World”) …where ZOI’s can live/move to
inZOI does not need to mirror exact, real-world cities. Instead, this expansion introduces a beautifully blended world that breaks away from standard Asian or American urban layouts:
- The Aesthetic: A seamless architectural fusion of for example England, Germany, and Turkey (the Near East). Picture cobblestone European streets lined with German half-timbered houses, blending into vibrant, spice-scented bazaars and striking Middle Eastern architecture.
- Historical Hubs: The world includes immersive community lots like a grand Historical Museum (displaying artifacts from all three cultures) and an old-world Library with unique interaction options for academic Zois. A middle east bazar for shopping.
- The Centerpiece: The Historic Castle/Fortress: A massive, fully interactive historical castle sits in this world. (Maybe one like the Grand Master’s Palace on Rhodes Island combining european and near/middle east design)
- Gameplay: Zois can visit the castle as tourists, learn about its lore, or book a luxury suite to spend their vacation inside the castle walls. The advanced AI could allow for unique historical reenactments, criminal (detective) games at night, or high-end royal dining experiences.
- Dynamic Event: The Medieval Festival: A recurring community event day where the town transforms. Zois can participate in archery, taste historical food, and enjoy traditional music.
- CAS (Create-A-Zoi): Includes highly detailed medieval garments, traditional garments (like tunics, royal gowns, and historical Middle Eastern attire), and classic accessories.
2. The Vacation Destination: The Ultra-Luxury Cruise Ship (Vacation-Only World)
To truly set inZOI apart, this features a dedicated, standalone vacation world located entirely on a massive, open-sea Cruise Liner. Zois travel here strictly for holidays.
- Onboard Features & Gameplay: Because inZOI simulates a living world, the cruise ship acts as a fully populated, moving resort. It features:
- Entertainment: An onboard Cinema with high-fidelity screens, multiple fine-dining Restaurants, and a massive Pool deck with dynamic water physics.
- Health & Wellness: A state-of-the-art Sports & Fitness Deck featuring ocean-view gym equipment and a luxurious Spa & Wellness Center where Zois can get massages, use saunas, and fully de-stress.
- Luxury Suites: Fully customizable cabins and high-end suites where Zois can relax and look out at the photorealistic ocean.
- Economy: High-end boutique Shops and open-deck markets for vacation shopping.
