Details (Providing reproduction steps helps us): when living in the DLC Cahaya baby becomes a toddler it moves outside unable to bring the baby or stuff inside the house, when an action is selected it says the baby sleeping it busy no actions can be done, or all actions are done outside and can’t be selected to move.
I use Steam as well. I took my whole family on vacation in Cahaya. When I decided to come back home, the Zois were on the curb and the toddler had grown. The toddler did not ever get taken inside of the house. All of the actions with the toddler were performed outside.. even with the babysitter. I could pick the toddler up, but was not able to relocate him to inside the house.. he just slept outside ![]()
What exactly happened when you tried to carry the baby into the house? Did it glitch back to its original location outside?
Hi everyone (@here),
Thank you for sharing it.
We’re aware and looking into this issue.
Will provide any updates we get in this thread.
Once I picked the baby up and clicked on the sofa to hold it, it said please put the baby down first. So, then I tried to click on the sitting help chair for the baby and it said “Cannot do this now.”
Interactions with and for babies & toddlers are quite limited so far. If you hold the baby, you can basically move it from point A to point B (e.g. if you want to move it to another floor due to stairs) but you can’t do anything else. Most of the items from the baby section, such as the help chair you mentioned, aren’t functional yet either.
Please let us know if there’s going to be a way to prevent toddlers from going outside!
Mine hasn’t fallen asleep outside before, but they get out even if I lock the doors to only allow one family member through. It works to keep the baby from getting back inside, but not from getting out in the first place. (I can’t remember all the times, but this might happen when my active character is away from the lot. UPDATE: I’ve seen the toddler crawl through the locked door.)
There’s no way this should be happening in a place where there’s natural disasters!
It makes sense that the interior doors need to open for the babies as they crawl around, but I would prefer to keep them inside, obviously. ![]()
Baby gates and playpens would be a perfect solution for the future, but probably not worth the development resources right now. In the meanwhile, can we at least put a child lock on the doors (a door permission to prevent toddlers from opening the door)?
Thanks so much!
I had asked for it here too:
I replied for you there, but since it’s under investigation, it means they either discovered a prevention didn’t work or doesn’t anymore, or they’re looking at the best solution for fixing it.
Let’s hope it’s small enough to get into a hotfix, or by the next update. It’s essential for many players who love to play families.
