"Cannot Install Presets Incompatible With Property"

  • Error Message: Cannot install preset incompatible with property

  • Details: Any modifications made to Dowon Heights in Build Studio - even adding a single object or wall - results in the above error when trying to install preset in game. Not sure if this also happens with other presets for other lots as I have not tried.

Edit: I should add that this happens with no mods, and also that some presets that predate the Cahaya update install just fine. It is just edits made by myself after that seem to render the preset ā€œincompatibleā€.

The edited preset can also be installed on a normal lot without issues.

Iā€™d also like to add that room presets cannot be installed on the penthouse unless they do not come into contact with the exterior walls or perimeter fence. This means that garden presets are impossible to use and interior presets are largely impossible.

It seems that the default walls will not allow themselves to be overwritten, even by identical walls with identical windows etc. which surely cannot be intended. Especially as this is only true of newer presets, older ones can be installed (even if they change default walls or add an extra storey etc.)

In case this is of any use to anyone, I have now purchased and edited the lot in-game, and any presets saved from there install fine. Seems that Dowon Heights (and maybe other apartment lots too) have issues if you create or edit them in Build Studio as this makes them lose their compatibility ā€œflagā€.

Still a pity we canā€™t edit lots without owning them though, as purchasing a house, then a preset on top is expensive.
