Some of the walls and objects in the Buildings were missing after Property System Updates in v0,7,0

  • Game Version: v0.7.0 [20260325.11297.W]

  • Platform: (Steam PC Windows)

  • Mods: (Choose one: / removed /)

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…): Windows 10 (22H2); AMD Ryzen 5 7500F; MSI GeForce RTX 5060 8GB; RAM 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000; SSD Samsung 990 PRO 2 TB (for games); SSD 970 EVO 500 GB (Windows);

  • Issue date: 2026, march, 26-27

  • Details:
Some of the walls and objects in the Buildings were missing after Property System Updates in v0,7,0. After Property System Updates in v0,7,0 all custom property presets was deleted. When I install my custom property preset again, the preset is not install automatically, it’s being colored in red, which indicates problems with placement.

  • After incorrect preset installation, some of the exterior and interior walls disappear. Many objects of furniture are missing. Some objects of furniture fall through the textures of the floor.

  • If I understand correctly, this site area [Dowon Heights Building] should not have changed after the update v0,7,0. Its Size: 28,5 × 37,5 m. But after updating, the preset is not install automatically. During the forced installation, the preset is installed incorrectly, without part of the walls and furniture.

  • There were no such problems before, before the v0.7.0 update. This property preset has always been install automatically. And I loaded it into the Canvas. There are photos in the Сanvas that show what this penthouse should look like after it is installed correctly:

  • Dowon Heights SkyBD v0,5,0. 2-Level Penthouse

One thing I want to know is, is this just a temporary mistake? And will this bug be fixed? Or is it an inevitable consequence of the Update? And I’ll forced to recreate my property preset? (last time it It took me 2 weeks). In many ways, because of the Building and interior design, I was attracted to this game

Just going through my properties in different saves. Unfortunately many do not fit perfectly anymore. In Bliss Bay I had to adjust 5 properties but luckily no walls were missing, only the fences, plants etc. in the garden.

In Cahaya it is interesting. The game does not force you to update the residential buildings but if you try to install a preset it does not install automatically anymore. Thus best way is to save all properties on a save file as a new preset and then it interestigly works again with automatic installation of the preset.

In Dowon I have not checked yet.

I don’t remember exactly. It seems that there are no penthouses on the upper floors of skyscrapers in Cahaya. In Bliss Bay and Dowon game force to update property and cant automatically install custom presets

You can’t install them also in Cahaya. In Cahaya you just have the benefit that these are not deleted by the update. Meaning they are still in your save but if you try to apply the preset of this very same house saved before the birthday update it would not install automatically. But if you save the building from the current save file as a new preset (now after the update) then you are able to install it.

For Bliss Bay all my houses were deleted by the update and all needed some adjustments to fit on the lots again.

What sad news. I feel so discouraged about having to rebuild all my homes. They have a complex structure. It’s like building them from scratch. :sob: :scream:

It’s not about houses that stand on the ground. It’s about the penthouses on the upper floors of skyscrapers. I’ve been suffered with them for a very long time, for several weeks. There are a lot of bugs in the Build Mode in these penthouses (in Korea - Dowon Heights Building, in Bliss Bay - Lumiere).

I guess, houses that are built on the ground can be installed without problems

Yes, I remember that they used to frequently publish errors with these penthouses. I didn’t dare build there because of that. All my structures are on the ground.

@n0mercygames unfortunately not. Also normal houses cannot be installed automatically anymore. This is more or less bad depending on the city. Even if the blueprint can be made to fit (e.g. for some houses in Cahaya) properties which have been built on the exact same adress are not installing automatically anymore. You have to adjust and try to place it so that you don’t lose to much. This is true for all houses, business properties and public lots which I have tested over the last hours (checked for around 15-16 properties in different cities). And yes, it is also true for all 3 cities. And yes, even if the old (before patch) and the new (after the patch) lot size is exactly the same.

After this testing I have to assume that no preset saved before the patch will be installable automatically…

@NyushaDm It is really, really annoying… but for most houses you don’t lose like half of the build. I mostly lost the fences and gates and the decorations around them, mailboxes, plants etc. It takes a while to get it all adjusted but in most cases you don’t need to rebuild the whole house.

As mentioned before: in Cahaya the houses are not overwritten by the update. So if these are still in your save then save them as a preset right away. That way you do not lose anything and can install the newly created preset on the property where it has been built again. Only if you use an old preset before the patch (even if exactly the same house) it will not install anymore.

In Bliss Bay though I had to redo the fences and decorations in every house so far as there we really have some size changes in quite some lots. Not too big difference but big enough that not all assets from the previous builds fit.

In general, it’s a pity. I exactly liked to edit the penthouses because they are located high up and offer beautiful views. My special feature was that I added a 2nd upper floor for all the penthouses (Dowon Heights, Lumiere). And now all these efforts are multiplied by 0

@n0mercygames I can really understand your frustration… Instead of playing the game and checking out the new features we are now sadly adjusting builds….

I see you’ve updated a lot of your builds in Canvas. That’s a huge amount of work! It’s a shame that most of the old content will just remain as unplayable junk in Canvas, since players have left and will never update it. Canvas has turned into a graveyard of unwanted creativity (just thinking out loud).

Yup, been on that since 4 hours ago, give or take.
I’m not the fastest too, so far I’ve only updated 2 local houses and 3 of my Canvas ones.
With about 15 left to do. I won’t get much playing tonight and tomorrow, maybe even this week-end.
This sucks so much… I don’t mind redoing those where the size has shrunk, but why our properties do not “Lock in” anymore on places where the lot is THE SAME or BETTER ? I mean come one, that’s just cruel from the devs.

It takes forever to do as well as you have to log in a game where you can access the lot, fit the house back in, CHECK EVERYTHING - EVERYWHERE, save locally, only then can you re-export to Canvas and you have to fill in everything all over again, and set pictures (so glad I never deleted the pictures folder, omg if I had not…), then the property appears but OF COURSE you lose all your hearts and download count, because OF COURSE you do… You cant even update a faulty chair without losing all of that….

Yes I am pretty much pee’d tonight.
It’s cruel and annoying… We’ll get through it.
It’s just frustrating.

Hello @n0mercygames,
We’re sorry for the inconvenience you experienced.

Please try the following steps and we hope this information helps:

  1. Select the “Psycat Guide” button at the bottom right of the screen

  2. Enable cheats

  3. Enter Build Mode

  4. Press “Ctrl + Shift + C”

  5. Type “UnlockSiteArea” in the input field and press Enter

  6. Carefully place the preset to ensure no parts are removed or misaligned

Please kindly note that certain areas, such as the lobby corridor, may not be placed as expected due to property standardization changes. We appreciate your understanding.

For automatically saved presets due to property standardization, you can check them using the following steps:

  1. Enter Build Mode on the lot where you want to place the preset

  2. Select the Filter button in the Preset tab

  3. Choose “Types of Storage” > “Auto Save”

  4. Check the automatically saved presets

Thank you.

Hello thank you for this! I did that, but I am still having issues with having it snap on. I have just went ahead and placed the property at any rate…and now the platform is high up for some reason. Will there be a future fix with properties not snapping on from canva?

Thanks for the solution. And thank you for illustrating this using the example with my building.
Now I understand why the developers added these new cheat codes, they solve problems with buildings from old game versions

I’m doing the same thing  . I’m also missing only external things for now.

But how do you update a construction that I’ve put on Canvas and which is now missing the external part?

How to disable that cheat?
I want to save a house I just spent 4 hours on and I get the message “Cheat activation Required” if I try using that house, I need to save it without the cheat

EDIT:
EditAllSites false did not work
UnlockSiteArea false did not work
LockSiteArea did not work

EDIT 2:
I just saved my game where I was building that lot from.
Restarted, went into build mode and was able to save the house without any restricted/locked error messages.

@mialuce66 unfortunately I don’t think there is an option to update a build which has been uploaded to canvas

As @Samuriko said in the post earlier you need to upload the fixed building again as new build. I also fortunately still had all the screenshots still in my folder and only had to take one new screenshot from the exterior. What I did is copy all the descriptions from my previously uploaded houses and paste it for the new upload and added „adjusted after birthday patch“ to the title to make it clear.

But of course it is sad anyway as we cannot be sure everyone will update their builds and you have duplicates in your canvas which are nearly the same with only some small adjustments.

Although the forum team has already published a solution to my problem, and the issue can be considered closed, but since there are still many discussions, just in case, I will add another my comment to this topic.

Friends, if You didn’t save your own houses, custom property presets in the old version of the game before the update, You can return to the old version of the game v0,6,1 in the Steam client (2026-02-12). I added screenshots where to find it.

You can “downgrade“ version of the game, load old game save, save your property presets in the Build Mode, and just install update v0,7,0 again. After this you can use cheat code “UnlockSiteArea” and install any property preset (your own, or downloaded from Canvas)

Maybe it will help someone.

For example, I’m still playing in the old build of the game v0,6,1. I don’t want to waste time for editing buildings right now. And half of the mods with clothes from the Mod Kit don’t work. I just want to play without too much troubles and problems
