Good evening and good morning depending on when you see this post, it’s about mods. I think it would have been simpler if it was like for The Sims where you put your CC mods in the game’s mod folder because there are several ways to do it right now, and it’s easy to get lost, plus tips that no longer work.
I think the system that inZoi came up with is easier and more convenient. You can download them, update them and uninstall them all from inside the game. You can even see the name and thumbnail of everything you have downloaded which makes it easier to identify problematic mods.
I do not miss having a very complicated organized mod folder that I have to manually check almost one by one because I cannot see what they are and probably barely remember.
I can understand that, but there are three ways to add mods. I agree that you can add them directly in the game, but in that case, you should be able to add all mods via Kitmod, because some mods have to be installed manually with an app to get them in the game, which currently doesn’t work at all, whether for mods or CC. There should only be one way to add them.
Sorry if this is poorly translated, I’m using a translator as I’m French.
but I understand your point of view.
Hi there, no problem. It is well translated, but I still disagree. There is only one official way of uploading mods to inZOI, and that is to Curseforge through the modkit. Managing mods with curseforge mode manager in game is pretty easy and convenient compared to how it works in the sims.
Mods that are on nexus or other pages are probably there because the modders want to make cc that violates curseforge and inzoi guidelines, like 18+ rated mods Those are not supported mods.
As far as I know, the alternative to installing mods via the game itself is just putting them directly into the mods folder that is located at documents/inzoi/mods?
Any other mod that has a different installation method is most defninitely outdated
