Oh, according to the Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) guidelines, at 15+ level, sexual content is tightly restricted:
• only indirect or suggestive representations of sexuality are permitted.
• no explicit sex scenes or direct sexual activity can be shown.
• nudity is not allowed in a clear or graphic form; at most, stylized or partial references may appear.
• romantic or flirtatious interactions may be included, but they must remain low‑intensity and non‑graphic.

GRAC is the Korean rating system, if they include what is allowed under PEGI 16, it’ll rise to GRAC 18 (like Persona 5, etc.)
And this would directly lead to a ban on daytime city advertising and government support for the game

The chat didn’t even want sexual content, did it? So how did it end up here?)) It was just about making life feel more real with some violence, alcohol, and other shady stuff. But yeah, nudity and sex scenes are obviously off‑limits for teen ratings, that’s always Adult only.
Any weapons are also GRAC 18.

Perhaps if the game develops significantly and sales increase again there may be no need for government support. New dlcs and early access completes. then the company can move west.

What GRAC 15 can offer, and PEGI 12 – not.
• Stronger violence – more intense conflict scenes than the lowest tier.
• Alcohol and drugs – enables limited depiction of alcohol use and indirect drug references.
• Social realism – supports themes like homelessness, courts, and crime.
• Psychological tension – more serious atmosphere, including stress, fear, or moral dilemmas, without crossing into horror or graphic trauma.
• Language – allows moderately stronger language than the lowest tier.
• Clear boundaries – sexual content and nudity strictly out, ensuring focus on social and substance themes rather than erotic elements.
That’s why I want a rating increase.

Sorry, no. I prefer Korean and Japanese culture and business practices over Western ones, even while living in Europe. For me, the most important thing is that inZOI keeps the advantages of its own country, and I’ve seen for years how the Western gaming market “handles” (= destroys) its franchises. The fact that inZOI has survived now is mostly thanks to the support of Korean business. On your side, it seems like unfairness. From now on, I’ll pay closer attention to who comes to support Kjun’s creation, and who comes to reshape it.

I think the same thing. But i don’t know how they’re going to increase the ratings without support though.
This is of course nothing personal toward Kjun, but the way Sims is being treated now, and how LBY’s development was managed so incompetently (despite Rod Humble’s leadership) speaks for itself. It’s even a similar story: city‑builder sinks life sim. LBY quit, while Sims 4 got butchered. I think inZOI is unlikely to become a super‑profitable game at every stage in the foreseeable future, so be glad that the financial matters are handled by the big cheese, and that we have so much content as long as their money is there. Plus, PUBG players might be paying. But Sims players, instead, could’ve been covering BF6’s development and DA Veilguard’s losses.
I’m not sure that the people who wanted it this way fully realize where their money from buying Sims DLC might be going. 40 bucks for Sims 4 DLC with just a third of the Sims 3 DLC content?
They can simply stick with GRAC 15, while at the same time loosen their grip on PEGI 12 / Teen 13+ (and it’s even more likely that PEGI will rise to 16, while T will remain).

no i would love drugs tbh, this is one of the most negative sides of life which i would love to play out in a story
i just dont need to see graphical violence with blood etc and intense nudity

Exactly, I love this idea. It doesn’t have to be integrated in the game, but there should be an option for Modders abd players to create/select these as additions to the game.For those who want to keep the game innocent and PG, they also have the option to do so, just like they did for Sims 4.

I agree. even Sims 3 has this option. i never liked Sims 4.
