Maybe when the Calendar function comes in December we can have a option that allows us to live a whole year 365 days a year and 12 months. With this lifespan can be set to age once every year instead everyday and pregnancy lasting for 280 days. This would also solve how holiday’s can be in the game so they can be introduced as a main stay. I know a lot of players like to play this way it would be great if it could be included in the game. Agreed, I did put in a “Timekeeping” idea a while ago suggesting just this.
In short, it was values you’d fill in like how many days in a year, how many days per seasons, how many days per pregnancy trimester and so on.
12 days per year is one day per month, which allows a pretty slow and realistic time keeping option.
Looking forward to that myself

That’s one thing I loved about The Sims 3 you could choose your length for life stage, seasons and with mods pregnancy length.
