Textures in Build Mode

Initially, the material textures in construction mode were quite limited… After updates, the range of available materials has become broader. However, I still think this system could improve.
Sometimes I want to use a material texture that isn’t available, and that becomes frustrating. At the same time, there are material textures available that don’t seem to make any sense when applied to that item or part of an item.
I think it would be interesting to expand the diversity of materials that make sense for each item or part of an item. In my opinion, it could be something like this (all items in the groups below could be made from all the listed materials):

  • Electronics, appliances: metal, painted metal, plastic;
  • Furniture (tables, chairs, beds, cabinets…): wood, plastic, metal, painted metal;
  • Upholstery (sofa, armchair, chair seats…): fabric, leather, wallpaper (since they resemble fabric textures).

Additionally, some items have textures that differ from most others (like parts of stairs and foundations). I think this should be unified—for example, all wood textures should be grouped together, and there shouldn’t be differences in ceramic textures for floors and walls.
In other words, on all items, it should be possible to apply all material textures that are typically used in real life.
