I did this before my fresh install, but I’ll give it another go!

Hello,

I had a similar issue with an RX 7600 recently. The game launched perfectly, but every time I reached around 10 to 15 hours of playtime (not in a single run but in total), the save file became unplayable because of crashes and other problems. I checked everything, including my GPU logs, and I noticed that the graphics card was causing the game to crash due to excessive resource usage. I adjusted the settings in AMD Adrenalin to limit the GPU power for Inzoi to a maximum of 90% of its capacity. I didn’t lose any FPS, and the game hasn’t crashed at all since then.

Unfortunately, many users are experiencing this lately. To the team → it’d probably be best to merge this thread with Game crash after Update. Mayve @botflo1’s solution can help other users affected by this.

Hi @paigepce ,

Since this thread addresses the same issue as the existing thread, which has been crashing after the October update, I will merge them for easier tracking of the bug.
Thank you for your understanding :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: .

Game Version: 20260114.9803.W

Platform: steam

Mods: removed

Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…):

OS: Windows 10 Pro;
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7600RAM
RAM: 16 GB

Error Message: No

Details:
The game crashes when you perform the following actions:

  1. Enter the Settings section;
  2. New Game → Completion create a ZOI to start a new game
  3. The Random ZOI tool
  4. Saving ZOI in Canvas
  5. Saving ZOI to templates

After the update, I spent less than 1 hour in the game. Fixing version 0.5.1 caused everything to break. It’s a shame. I’ve been waiting for this update the most. As a result: the game is not working, the saves are broken, and it is impossible to start a new game.

Oh! The familiar Cyrillic!)))

I’ve checked all the points. Zoi’s random Preset; Saving the Preset; Completing Zoi’s creation to start a new game; Loading old saves created in past in May 2025 - everything is working for me.

My PC has 1in1 characteristics similar to yours. Only the components are newer and of other models.

The last advice, after which nothing will help: delete the game from the computer completely. And install it again (if you still haven’t changed your mind  )

I did this after the release of patch V0.5.1
, the removal and re-download of which is not a very pleasant process. But it looks like I’ll have to do it again. If that doesn’t help, then I don’t know which other gods to pray for it to work.

Keep in mind that the problem with Canvas requires a special solution.

I also couldn’t open the Canvas inside the game before. Only in the browser. I wouldn’t know what the reason is. But you’ve given me a possible common problem with your Cyrillic screenshot! What is the common denominator between the two Cyrillic-writing players?! The correct answer - is blocking of our sovereign Internet.

Solution - is a desktop VPN. Exactly desktop VPN program, but not browser tool. Canvas works only with stable internet connection

VPN works 24/7, I don’t turn it off at all. Canvas, oddly enough, works, but I can’t upload anything to it, the game dies instantly. It opens beautifully, even files download without problems. But that’s where the positive moments end :smiling_face_with_tear:

Then I can only sympathize. Constructive ideas are over

I apologize for my inattention! Specifically, in your case, the problems with game crashes are related to RAM. 16 GB is not enough for inZOI. I didn’t see it right away.

On my old PC with DDR4, the game consumed 18-20 GB of RAM.

Currently on new PC with DDR5, the game consumes 22 GB of RAM. Screenshot is here.

A temporary solution - create a swap file on an SSD with a volume of 16 GB or more. But this is temporary “crutches”.

If you want to continue playing inZOI, in the future You definitely need to buy another 16 GB of RAM. To add up to 32 GB

Strange, very strange. The game’s system requirements don’t mention anything about this. The recommendations are met. But if everything is as you said, I’ll do without it then. This game isn’t worth such effort and investment. I think I’ll go back to the competitors

That’s your prerogative.

As I said, you can partially solve the problem if you create a swap file on an SSD with a volume of 16 GB or more. Perhaps you will stop encountering problems in the game.

System requirements (at least the ones that are written on Steam) “almost” correct. They are correct for the CPU and GPU. But they are greatly understated for RAM.

inZOI requires minimum 16 GB RAM + swap file on SSD. But 32 GB RAM will better. I guess this is a problem with all games released in 2025 and later on Unreal Engine 5

Turns out I was deceived

When purchasing, I relied on the system requirements indicators. As I understand it, things will only get worse with new updates coming out.

And even if I upgrade my RAM - it’s far from guaranteed that everything will work stably. Guys who left comments above are playing with 32 GB of RAM - and they still encounter crashes.
