Hello jojo!

Could you please indicate your hardware specs and platform? It is very helpful

Do you get any error messages when crashing?

If you play in Steam, verifying the files can help with the crashing, in case you have not tried it yet!

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor

no error message just closes when it starts to load, and i do play on steam and have verified files multiple time

Hello.

My advice to you: forget about your old saves. I myself struggled after updating, and I couldn’t get into the game with my previous character. I was afraid to break my system by following someone else’s advice.

In desperation, I forgot about what I had done in the game, about my game character, about construction. None of the previous saves would load. I realized that the developer got carried away with updates and mods and simply broke the game, without warning us in any way - the first buyers, the first investors who believed in this from the very beginning. After reading the forum and seeing the struggles of many others, I was convinced of this. With the latest hardware, I’m not going to break my BIOS, reload new drivers and other programs. I simply started a new game and a new life for my Zoe. Of course it’s upsetting to lose everything, but the manufacturer will always find a reason to consider themselves right.

Try my example and everything will start working right away. You don’t need to update, delete, or clear any caches. Start your life anew.

Good luck in the game!

Hi! I want to join this thread. I have the same problems, I can’t continue the old saves, and it’s impossible to start a new game from CAZ. The system crashes constantly as soon as I try to save the character. I am very disappointed that after buying a game, I have to look for 100500 ways to solve a problem, even though I do not have the necessary knowledge and skills in game development. Sorry for my nagging. I’m tired of looking for a way that could help me.

inZOI is very demanding game. Most of the problems are either in the hardware of the PC. Or in outside modifications.

If your computer match the “recommended” requirements (in Steam it specified in the right column of requirements), delete all outside modifications from both paths:

  • [Windows] Documents\inZOI\Mods\88849
  • [Windows] Steam\steamapps\common\inZOI\BlueClient\Content\Paks\~mods

When I first time encountered a problem with start old game save created before the update, removal of mods was resolved it.

In my experience, I can say that, without modifications, all my saves are starting, including those created in May 2025, when the game version was v0,1,7. Today currently version v0,5,4.

Every time after updates I remove mods, start game, quit, & install mods again.

Or Verify your game files. Manual on the link.

Or Clear PSO Cache. You can find this point in the Options tab into the game.

Or close/finished all unnecessary background processes in Task Manager, witch use RAM

Thank you so much for your feedback. I’ve seen this description of actions in other posts that match the theme of crashes from the game. And I’ve already done it all. None of the ways helped me.

All mods are removed, downloads from Canvas are removed, saving game progress is removed. I’ve tried everything, even though it’s not my job. I just want to launch INZOI and enjoy.

My other main problem is i can’t just update all mods with one press of a button i had like 100+ and i had to delete all and start over again, and at this point idk if ill be able to play with mods only because of how many will need the update and i would have to manually do each one which is wayyyy to time consuming

How much RAM does your PC have? And what model of graphics card?

In other discussion threads with similar problems, I found out that not all players are aware that the system requirements for RAM are greatly understated (in Steam RAM requirements 12-16Gb).

If you have 16 GB RAM, you need create a swap file with volume 16 GB or more on SSD. If you can, you may buy another 16 GB of RAM. To add up to 32 GB

Every time after each update and hotfix, I delete all the mods and reinstall them manually. It takes any time. But I’m using a small count of mods, so far there are only 20-25. You can play with mods. But if you don’t want reinstall them manually after each update, you can use less count of mods

Your advice doesn’t work!

Don’t convince others to support a broken update.

Why have mods that need to be deleted with every update? If the game doesn’t support them or causes inconveniences like being unable to load saves, what’s the point? Modders need to learn how to make them properly first, instead of putting users in a position where they have to choose between playing or not.

Don’t belittle the capabilities of other computers and especially don’t give advice about buying hardware.

You’re being told that it doesn’t depend on the computer. Read the reviews.

You can not use mods at all, since there’s such a problem with them. Then your advice won’t be needed.

I’m only giving advice because everything works for me, even though I have an entry-level budget PC that barely responds the recommended requirements of new modern games.

I also encounter bugs and problems. But they don’t stop me, because I know what my PC can handle and what’s too hard for it.

And I also give advice because I know that players can encounter with crash games, even when playing AAA projects, because their PCs can’t handle the workload.

You can don’t play inZOI while it’s in Early Access and wait for the official release. Or you can be nervous and worry that there are a lot of bugs in it right now. This is your decision

You’re wrong about that! I may be advocating for everyone to play, not the way you kill it with your advice. And yes, I’ve been playing for a long time, so I know the game’s problems firsthand. What you’re recommending pushes players away, when instead you need to attract them. (sorry if I offended you)

What exactly am I wrong about? In fact that the developers incorrectly specified the system requirements for the PC hardware in Steam?

I have already posted this screenshot 2 times in same topics. I will publish it in 3 time especially for You

Here a program for monitoring of workload of PC components MSI Afterburner.
The DDR5 RAM workload is almost 22 GB.

On my old PC, the workload of DDR4 RAM in the game with high graphics settings, without RTX, without any mods, was 18 GB. This is already more than 16 GB, which are specified in the recommended requirements in Steam.

I can’t imagine a scenario in which the RAM workload in inZOI will be less than 16 GB. Lowest settings?!

inZOI this is an early access game in development. But in 2025, some games full-fledged releases were on Unreal. Marvel Rivals, MindsEye are also require more than 16 GB. But Steam system requirements assure us that 16 GB enough. It’s wrong. (remark: even despite the failure and negative critics, MindsEye has received 6 updates, in which RAM consumption has been reduced below 16 GB, but it released game, not an early access).

I’m not “pushing away” anyone, but I’m suggest a solution. More precisely, 2 solutions: a “crutch” as a swap file, it’s don’t need to spend money for it; or buy another 16 GB RAM, it’s need investment.

We live in 2025… sorry 2026  , games witch released on Unreal Engine 5 are very demanding. It’s not 2015, when any weak elementary PC handle with Sims 4;3;2 or GTA V;IV;SA.

To accept or NOT to accept this new reality (& continue to live in 2015) - it’s your decision

I was going to dive into this topic, thinking there might be new information. I still hold onto hope to play. But there are no new tips, and the old ones seem to be outdated.

For reference: everything worked fine for me in the first hours after the v0.5.0 update. I was even able to open an old save and play in life mode. But the v0.5.1 hotfix broke everything (what irony!)

I don’t think the issue is space because I definitely have enough for more than 32 gigs, probably just mods causing issues but I’ll definitely do the only 20 to 25 parts probably and keep it Add that instead because the only other thing is I like to download some other people’s outfits that they made but a lot of the news mods so probably just have to use ones that don’t have mods.

It’s me again. My problem resolved itself. On January 21, AMD released an update for the driver I am using. The game crashes have stopped. I would like to point out that I still use 16 GB of RAM. The game starts effortlessly. I played without long pauses for 4 hours. You should reconsider your recommendations, as forced purchase of additional memory is not the best way to solve problems + it reduces customer orientation and discredits developers. All the best to you!

I am glad that your problems resolved itself. To expansions my horizons, tell please, what model of CPU do you have? :upside_down_face: :folded_hands: By the way, DDR4 requires less RAM than DDR5, in my experience. And what model of Graphic card do you have?

I have nothing to do with the developers of this game. I am an ordinary player who shares ideas on the forum. Are developers discredits themselves, or not, this is not my issue.

Anyway we will all confronted many more problems in the game before its full release
