to answer my own question yes yes you can its just an extremely time consuming process go to Documents\inZOI\Creations\MyTextures … and each file go into the meta.json file and delete the author and downloaded lines

As I understand it you can still use the item, you just won’t have the custom textures show up in the’My Textures’ list (unless you manually change the file author). I downloaded some custom outfits prior to the update and they still seem to work.

Just to add to this, I started having this issue after the halloween update, and no matter what I do no textures apply to any clothing. To clarify, they are my own textures I am using.
