After this last update I am facing problems in the mods tab.
When I entered the game it disabled all mods, saying they were out of date, which is normal after an update. However, I opened the mods tab and uninstalled the outdated ones and when I went back to the menu the game crashed. I went back to the game and disabled all mods and still when I go back to the menu the game crashes.
After that I made a new save game without any mods and everything runs normally, but when I save and go back to the menu it also crashes.
This is annoying, as I have to test mod by mod with the game closing every time I return to the menu. Which makes me wonder if it’s a problem with the mods or a problem with the game.
How many mods do you have/what type? While we figure it out, and just to make sure, have you validated the files through steam after making that new save file?
There are 5 clothing mods and 3 script mods. I don’t understand what you mean by validating the new game files on Steam. I just created a new one and went in, it works normally, but when I go back to the menu it freezes and closes. This was after the game updated.
Every time I change anything to do with mods, I have to ‘clear the cache’ by deleting most things in the inZOI folder. It’s a very annoying solution but it works.
Verifying steam files can help because what steam does is going through every file in your game one by one and fixing the ones that might be broken or corrupted.
To verify the files, go to inzoi’s page in your library, click on the gear button, then scroll down to “installed files” then click “verify integrity of your game files”.
I have an issue like this where my game just crashed whenever I tried to click “Installed mods” tab and it did not help me when I did the “verify the files” in steam. Anyone has a solution?
To be honest, I have no idea. I have a nervous breakdown every evening here, because whenever I think I’ve fixed it, everything breaks again. So playing the game with mods absolutely doesn’t make sense yet. I can’t do anything without spending hours beforehand updating individual mods and dealing with various bugs. It’s really annoying…
