Steps to Reproduce: Have tried to make each zoi sleep however the sleep action does not last long enough for it to fully fill the sleep meter, and doing this several times does not seem to help as well. I end up needing to use a donut to fill the meter.

In the image below this is the second time i have made the zoi sleep and the need has not been filled. The sleep action seen below also shows the action ending before the need has been filled. Its just frustrating as I do not want to use a donut every time to up the need
Yup happening to me as well. Multiple household and Zois are waking up for no reason at like 10pm (after being dead tired going to sleep at 9pm). I wasn’t paying attention but it seems this is happening more and more.
Mod is called “Realistic Aging Groups”, sometimes referred to “Realistic Aging” only.
But I do not think the mod is the culprit as it foes not touch or script anything remotely close to the sleep bar.
My problem with this is they end up sleeping when the gauge is barely low and my zoi does not have any sort of lazy trait lol. So far its been only a few of them doing this not all. I kind of deal with it because I think it might just be a random choice deal. But it does seem off they would choose that with needs being mostly full
all of the timings are messed up since switching to 48 mins. i wish they’d have put off the change completely until they nailed down scaling and did testing. i’m happy we got the october update but its by far the buggiest one since release
In my current game, I’ve send Zois to sleep at 9:15pm, half of them woke up at 9:30pm and starting doing stuff (shower, bath, bathroom, reading books, talking)… So I sent them back to sleep at 9:45pm. Now again 6/8 of my zois are awake at 10:08pm.
Please revert these needs changes that mess-up their behaviors back to pre 0.4.0 if it cannot be fixed. It’s really annoying and unfun.
Tonight my zoi was tired from a long day of tending to a toddler.
She went to sleep at 8:30. She didn’t recover a single point of the sleep gauge.
Was running 96min game day.
Absolutely agreed. I’m really, REALLY tired of the needs being buggy. Playing in 4 hours, if the bathroom/hygiene bar is depleted, it can take 2-3 actions in a row to fill it up… might seems an insignificant bug, but imagine having a family of 8 zois, and about 2 toilets (+ a bath and a bathtub), it’s an exercise in frustration to keep the family clean. The last micro-patch 0.4.5 helped a bit, but it’s stilll not working well.
I’d really want a revert of that change to 48min. Barring that just have needs depletion time on a fixed time independent of the clock/time of day. Don’t try to dictate/police that my zoi should eat at 5om or 8pm or sleep from 10pm to 6am. Let me play at my own rhythm and just let the bars deplete naturally (16 hours day then you need sleep, no matter what schedule you’re on). And then just adjust those depletion rate depending on length of day you picked.
At least before both the 48/96min where working perfectly, adding the teleport feature would’ve complemented the old 48min just fine. I’m very pro-adjusting the needs to the other day lengths but if it’s not working well, dont release it, we can wait. Revert the change, say it was not ready, and re-push it when it is.
Sorry for the venting everyone, but I’m getting very tired of this issue.
Hello everyone (@here),
Apologies for the trouble caused by the need-related bug - we know it can be frustrating.
We’re currently looking into it. Will share any updates in this thread.
Thank you!
Just testing the game again this week after a break; needs in general seem better balanced, but I do still find that my zoi’s get up shortly after being sent to bed, and have to be told to sleep a second time. After that they will sleep through until morning.
I think this happens when they go to bed before a certain time (ie: 10.30 or 11.00pm), and they then get up at the time they should be going to bed or something. Not sure, but if zoi’s sleep gauge is empty and they go to bed early, they shouldn’t get up again regardless.
Not too much of an issue in a single zoi household, but micromanaging a whole family who do this is a pain.

I noticed when my zois are sleeping, once the gauge is full they wake up whether or not the sleep interaction is still happening. Below is a video showcasing this bug.
