  • Details: Hello! I wanted to share my feedback and personal experience with the Smartzoi/Autonomy system. Firstly, I want to say I’m really loving and enjoying Inzoi. Everything this game is bringing to the table is evolutionary, and that is why I am so passionate about sharing things that need to be addressed in detail instead of barking demands at the dev team. I thoroughly understand the game is in early development and am happy to be part of the growth experience. I was a Sims connoisseur since very early childhood and have over 3k hours on PC, not including console for Sims.

Anyways, with that being said, here is what I’d like everyone to know. When I first began playing Inzoi (shortly after launch), I noticed that the Smartzoi system was very well paced, but now it seems that the system is overly responsive. Zois do things on their own even when autonomy is switched off, and they also choose to do things that don’t address their needs in a practical way. The chosen command doesn’t override the autonomy. If you have a water fountain or an ice cream deep freezer inside your house, the Zoi wants to eat ice cream or drink water instead of making a real meal to fully satisfy their hunger. Clicking on the hunger meter when hunger is low with autonomy switched on makes them eat ice cream instead of going to the fridge a lot of times. This didn’t used to be the case before the update. The autonomy is also super fast, so if I want my Zoi to go to the farmers market or the fish stand, once they have arrived, I can’t even click on anything fast enough before they immediately want to go home. It’s been making going to town virtually impossible because I can’t get them to perform any actions once there. All of my Zois are eating ice cream and drinking water instead of making real food, so I was forced to delete my water fountain and am even contemplating not using the ice cream. Everyone is basically going to work and school hungry, which could explain why they’re always going back home once going to market. Once home, they proceed to eat ice cream and drink water… When a need is red, the Zoi ignores the need and does something completely unrelated, like going to start a conversation with a family member (Smartzoi enabled), because of these issues. I can’t get my teenagers to do their homework effectively, and they are constantly failing their assignments because of the interruptions from the Smartzoi system making them get up to eat ice cream.

These sort of errors don’t happen ALL of the time, but I have been playing currently for a little over 3 hours (which is normal for me), and it’s very frustrating. I’d much rather not use the Smartzoi system at all in order for me to enjoy the game, but it also takes the fun away when I have to manually control my entire household and the simulation experience is diminished. Even when switching autonomy off, it comes back on on its own. So at this point, I will continue to play, but it won’t be for long periods until this can be fixed.

Thanks for reading! Hope this feedback helps!

When Smart ZOI is enabled, the ZOIs are cleaning the streets and looking in the mirror too frequently, and honestly, it’s pretty disappointing.
