An option to choose between sitting or standing during conversations

there’s a footprint icon but it’s still not enough.

Sometimes I want them to stay standing while talking, and other times I want them to sit. it be better if we could choose.

I’m not sure how to explain it exactly, but when I want characters to talk while standing, they suddenly walk over to a chair. The standing and sitting conversation animations are different, and it really bothers me when I can’t see the one I want. I wish devs’d add a feature that lets us choose. That little footprint icon isn’t enough

I think a solution could be to just remove any movements before starting a conversation, and the Zois would just stay where they currently are.

If they are already sitting, they talk while sitting and if they are standing, they talk while standing.

@LennyOgg I agree. This is sometimes so annoying. They stand in the middle of a room, but no, just to chat about how the other Zoi‘s day was we need to go out and a around the corner to sit down before being able to do so.

@GreenDove are you sure that there really are 2 options to see for all the conversations?

My observation is that for certain things they will always stand up and these are the ones marked with the footsteps, like high five or doing selfie etc. For the options without the footsteps there are indeed 2 variants and these can be performed both, while sitting and while standing. When choosing these options mostly they remain seated if already sitting but you never know what they will do if they are standing. And it would be great if we could choose for these „chat while standing“ or „sit down“.

Agreed, though obviously there are certain animations that might require one or the other. I thought the footprint icon indicated ‘you have to change positions for this interaction’, but often it seems to happen even when there’s no footprint indicator.

It’s really annoying when they keep getting up and sitting down. Sometimes if they’re in places with lots of chairs, they’ll get up from one and go sit on another.
