This happens quite often recently.
I teleport a Zoi over to the Resort Island and then, whenever I click anywhere - the floor, an object, another Zoi - the active Zoi gets teleported there instead of being able to go there or interact.
Also the camera snaps back to the Zoi when I want to move it.
After restarting the save, it’s back to normal.
And does the following happen to anyone else, that the first teleport goes well, but the second not?
Like I teleport Zoi 1, move the camera a bit so it doesn’t jump to Zoi 2, I select Zoi 2, click on the floor to teleport, but the camera moves to Zoi 2 intead of teleporting him.
I think I narrowed it down to when I teleport Zois from the Main Island to the Resort Island.
The first teleport over there goes well, the second causes the bug.
I teleport my Zois quite often and it only happens there.
Or is this happening to anyone else apart from that scenario?
When I save after it happened, the first Zoi I teleport over then bugs too.
I tried to see if it gets fixed when I enter build mode, but there I cannot pick up any of the placed objects and I cannot place an object either. So the only solution is to save and reload.
EDIT: I just reloaded the save, teleported them back to their home and it didn’t happen.
Maybe it just happens when they teleport to a community lot over a long distance with a loading screen in between?
The best way to reproduce it in my game (old save, no mods, fully updated), is to teleport from their home on the Main Island to the Resort or the Temple at the Resort Island.
The first teleport happens without issues and the second teleport causes the bug.
After that it happens to all Zois, even when I switch households.
Yes, if you scroll up a bit, it happened in Dowon too. But it happens everytime with the second Zoi when I teleport them from Main to Resort island, this is imo the best way to reproduce.
Maybe because the distance is large enough for the bug to happen(?) Since I have a hunch it has to do with that. I teleport my Zois a lot and it never happens short or mid distance.
So I did try to reproduce it as you described in your post with the Cahaya map and the marker:
Zoi 1 (main island) → temple (resort island)
Zoi 2 (main island) → temple (resort island)
They were still interacting as they should and I could click anywhere without it teleporting them there. I did it two times, always long distance as you described, and the result remained the same. Unfortunately, I can’t reproduce the bug. My save file is from release day 1 Cahaya dlc, no mods and fully updated, just like yours.
Maybe we’ll get a different result if I use your save file or we switch save files to check if it’s somewhere in the settings or other game files? Otherwise I’m quite lost here
Okay, so you moved with one of your OG families to the Cahaya dlc? Haven’t done that yet so my Cahaya save file started with the dlc release. I’ll try to reproduce the bug with my two other saves (both from March) in Dowon and Bliss Bay. Maybe that works. I’ll tell you about it once I have new info.
Yes, we moved from Dowon to Cahaya. First three of them, then one went back and brought the rest of the bunch.
It is so utterly weird that one thing can break another, totally unrelated, other thing. How is one supposed to find a relation to fix it? Like when a modded cushion broke the hair colors, I’ve never touched a mod ever since o.o
It now happened in Bliss Bay too, we moved there from Cahaya.
After teleporting the second Zoi from Clover Park to the home lot (that’s not that far away, but there is a loading screen).
EDIT: after reloading the save, it happened after I teleported the first Zoi, it’s getting worse.
