I have the exact same issue :
Steam Windows
Game version i couldnt find but uptodate on steam
AMD Ryzen 7 8700F 8x4.10GHz 32GO ram RX 7900 GRE 16Go
Win 11 25H2
Driver up to date

The game was working this morning even though I didn’t played since march, everything was fine then i remember a map was not available so I quit and installed it, and since I installed it I have the same issue (uninstall, guide to fix crashed, restarting computer, removing the DLC) none work the issue persist since then and I can’t play.

Game crash instantly by clicking ā€œBuild Studioā€ ā€œStudio Zoiā€ ā€œNew gameā€ (loading old save load a few second and then crash), clicking mod work but when clicking back it crash. Everything else on the main menu work fine. Game is fluid no issue except the crash.

Hello @cetus808 @Tenebros

Have you tried verifying your game files via steam?
Here is a little guide how to:

Yes i verified the game files and i also deleted the config and cache folder from the user directory. Game loads as usual and it creates the default configuration files etc.

Back in the main menu the game still crashes when pressing any button. The game was working before but i can’t remember when i played the it last time.

That must be so frustrating :psycat_sad:
And this seems to also happen to a lot of players who haven’t played for a while.

Have you tried the other suggestions in the ā€˜Resolving Crash Issues’ guide?

So i deinstalled the game from steam and removed all remnants of the game like:

  • C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\BlueClient
  • C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\inZOI
  • C:\Users\[username]\Documents\inZOI
  • ..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\inZOI
  • ..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\shadercache\2456740

Even after clean installation of the game the issue persists.

So i don’t know what the dev team did but i reinstalled Inzoi again and the bug disappeared.

As far as i know there was no update on the update pipeline but maybe there was was one on whole package. In other words reinstalling the game now as described above is the solution whoever experienced this bug.
