Game Crashing with canvas

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System

    • Windows 11 Pro
    • ASRock X670E Taichi
    • AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
    • AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
    • Physical RAM: 128GB
    • Virtual Memory: 637 GB

  • Issue Date: 12/29/2025

  • Error Message: No message, just crashes

  • Details: Crashes in loading/creating saves or design space

  • Issue: I can open the game and get through the loading screen to the main menu. I cannot open the design studio, crashes instantly. I can create a new save/character but game crashes as soon as I hit complete/try to play (doesn’t save the new person). Can’t open previous saves from earlier in the year.

  • Troubleshooting attempts:

    • Changing performance settings to allow for full usage of allocated RAM per Microsoft’s recommendations.
      • Uninstalling and re-installing the game
    • Adjusting in-game graphics settings
    • Clearing Steam cache
    • Verifying Steam has no memory usage cap that is interfering with the game.

Do you have reshade? Crashes can happen if you have reshade for inZOI.

Is Nanite turned on in your settings? It caused some performance issues lately.

I’m embarrassed to ask… 1) Is your PC’s physical RAM represented by 2 or 4 modules? 2) Do you have any problems with blocking or slowing down the Internet in your country?

This is the first time I’ve seen such a rich, powerful PC configuration from a player on this form. & I am very surprised that you are have any problems with the game
