(Votes are anonymous)

Are you personally interested to play inZOI in a Multiplayer Mode?
  • Yes, I’d love to play inZOI in Multiplayer Mode
  • I’d like to try Multiplayer Mode in inZOI → but LATER when the rest of the game is in a good state

I think we all need to move on from this discussion. Inzoi is getting multiplayer mode and they are working at it right now, wherther we like it or not. That is a reality and no ammount of complaining or making polls is going to change it because the corporation and the devs have taken their time to make this decision.

However, the feature is still in research and development stage. So why don’t we focus on what kind of multiplayer we want instead, since we are getting one anyway, and give feedback to the devs about that? By the looks of the devs plans, we might end up with some Habbo Hotel debacle, where weirdos camp to try to groom and make contact with 13 year olds.

I’m hoping there will be at least one multiplayer world, that we customize our zoi (and only have one zoi), customize an apartment or home of some sort and be able to work (with no cheats) and most importantly be able to chat, that will be sweet, and at the same time able to play in our created solo worlds. :+1:

I won’t use multiplayer myself but I largely agree with this. I don’t think they’re going to scrap the whole idea because people on the forums object to it. That said, what might persuade them to scrap it is low interest from the player base during the early stages. It does seem strange to me that the MP roadmap jumps so quickly from ā€˜a single shared house’ to ā€˜MMO with hundreds or thousands of players at once’.

I’m not interested in multiplayer at all.

But if, as it seems, it will be present in the future, I would like it to be as controllable as possible by the player, so being able to decide whether and who to let enter or not in your own game, when to let them enter and what actions a visitor can or cannot do within our game.

I’m hoping that multiplayer is server worlds that we can play separately from our custom saved worlds, simply because if Player B enters Player A’s world, can Player B build their own house, then comes Players C-Z and there is only 12 lots to build on, so I’m thinking it would have to be a noneditable world other with players editing their own ā€œapartment in a virtual block areaā€ when we enter ā€œthe apartment zoneā€ we can go home, knock on neighbors doors, or enter home with nearby friends. Something like that would be cool

Then let’s ask X people too – aren’t they part of the player base? And let’s ask Reddit as well. Idk, guys, I’m completely out when it comes to strategic decisions, because one thing I can say for sure is that in such matters, representative groups from Discord/forum are extremely insufficient. And this happens, they’re dissatisfied with how members respond on the official channels. So yes, if something was promised and not implemented, or was once implemented and later removed, that’s one thing. But a feature that was actually pushed forward both by the stockholders and the players and has already been announced should be accepted as a fact.

As for me, since inZOI is offering this, I know people will be streaming. I’ll probably drop by for a test or gladly watch on Twitch, or else look for invites in some local chats, since I don’t have many people yet. For now, I associate it with a model similar to GTA Online.

I’m not a multiplayer fan either, but I think, like some of you mentioned, that we should at least try to embrace the opportunity to shape it. A huge issue are always the servers for any online game, so I sincerely hope that they manage to keep them stable and user-friendly. I’d love to have all the common options for player-choice in regards to the servers, such as invite-only, open and password security. That’d help with making sure that no ā€œrandom usersā€ enter our worlds and mess with them.

Maybe, once everything works well, this could be a lovely place for roleplaying which I haven’t done before, but always loved watching online. There’s so much potential in the singleplayer we already have and the ideas for multiplayer, that I’m quietly confident it can become a very friendly, inspirational game for various playstyles. Fingers crossed we’ll continue to be such a big part of the development process (online & offline) that inZOI can grow into something beyond our expectations even

And the same can be said, the audience is far from limited to the forum and Discord. Let’s take two of the largest public groups in our country, one on InZOI, which has 10,000 members and constant discussions. Let’s take a large public group that you know, which has 100,000 members and a huge number of people frequently discuss the game, and how many have praised the latest updates and the content map. They’re players too, so many are players, and many are in favor of online play and many features that the forum, for example, disagrees with, which were introduced in recent updates. It’s also highly likely that you’ll be able to play with just friends or not play online at all, as quite a few games offer it as an option (GTA, Minecraft).

I know some people that only play online games because they get board on solo games and enjoy playing with others and chatting, Krafton is aware of the ways gaming is evolving and they know if they go online their sales are going to be 100’s times more

As I said, I’m in favor of any buzz, but not at the cost of removing beloved features or postponing promised ones. All my triggers, and most of the forum’s triggers, are tied to broken promises and delivering something else instead, which communities of 10–100k don’t take into account (and I also know that they are often too defensive, shifting into direct insults, which prevents calmer people from joining them). But since multiplayer was indeed pushed by players and Kjun even before early access, here, as is often said, case closed – water under the bridge.

Attempts to disrupt or demoralize the team honestly look more like sabotage, even though new content is being offered completely for free by the inZOI Team in exchange for a strategic investment option probably developed by Krafton PUBG teams, who originally specialize in online – and that’s truly regrettable. What if, without this multiplayer, given the weak sales and budget limits, inZOI would be way worse, or simply wouldn’t exist? m?

And to the people of Korea – your country truly has a tremendous passion for what it creates and exports to the global market. Ofc, this is tied to capitalism, but also to immense hard work. Thank you.

I apologize if I offended anyone. IMO.

This poll is all about me trying to find out what other players here think about Multiplayer.

Here are my thoughts:

In almost every post of his, Kjun mentions how the team values the feedback and opinion of any of us.
Even from minorites like me.
Since the October and December updates, almost every aspect and feature of inZOI :backhand_index_pointing_right: I :backhand_index_pointing_left: enjoy, got worse/neglected/buggy/removed.
And since parts of Multiplayer already goes live in January, the development must have started around this time.
Even though Kjun states there are separate teams, content and fixes for Single Player got neglected because the additional ressources went into Multiplayer.

Many players are neither on discord nor reddit, for good reasons.
I still would prefer surveys and poll for all players in the lobby, so everyone can be heard.
But it is what it is, sadly.

It’s a small part of only 21 players, but here, 81% are concerned about a Multiplayer Mode (right now).
And they deserve to be heard too.

Knowing clearly that multiplayer is going to be implemented one way or another, I really don’t care how they do it since I have no intention of using it whatsoever.

The survey is not a bad idea, since it only explores the opinion of players on this forum and I don’t think it’s unnecessary for us to be able to express our views, regardless of how representative it is of the actual player base.

I just hope that in the same way that multiplayer mode is implemented for those who want it, offline mode is also fully implemented for those of us who want to be able to play without any connection and be able to establish it whenever we want to download updates or downloadable content when we feel like it.

Voted ā€œLaterā€ but my version of multi-player is limited multiplayer. Like

  • Player ā€œAā€ setup the town and lots and whatever you do when rigging your future game
  • Player ā€œAā€ invites Player ā€œBā€ to the game by giving them the password.
  • Player ā€œAā€ as full rights. Player ā€œBā€ can work on their house only but cannot modify other lots they do not own or other NPCs not from their family (even when switching over to other families, they have ā€œLook Onlyā€ activated).
  • So Player ā€œBā€ gets a lot, builds (more like import to save time) a house, and the 2 can play together and most likely meet each other as ppl would meet NPCs in a solo game.
  • Or maybe Player ā€œBā€ decides to play the same household, in which case, player ā€œAā€ assigns them one zoi or full family control as well (so said family would have 2 overlords managing it). I figure most would go for option one Zoi.

Now you could also invite up to 8 players total in one game, either playing 8 families or the same one.
This would work well with Canvas Town, but also with the bigger towns (like Bliss Bay atm).

I cannot for the life of me see a version of InZOI with like 50-200 players going at it at the same time. Not saying it cannot happen, but … why would you even develop something like this ? To me it makes no sense.

Regardless, this should only be tampered with once we have a proper polished game with most bug resolved, and many player concerns about ā€œIt’s working as intendedā€ resolved. If you think ppl are annoying now with complaints and suggestions, not to mention bug reports, just imagine the storm if you throw in multiplayer for the masses that never touched InZoi before !

I’m hoping it’s server words that no players can edit, allowing 1000’s of players to join with a single zoi and an apartment, letting us work to earn money to slowly buy stuff for our apartment.

Personally, I’m really looking forward to the multiplayer mode. It’s something I’ve been waiting for since the game was first announced. I also enjoy the single-player mode, but I’ll definitely be playing multiplayer a lot more.

It’s been said that multiplayer mode is being handled by a specific team. And I sincerely believe that playing solo won’t be affected. There’s no point in spewing hatred.
We have to trust the creators.

Most of the time, we prefer to immerse ourselves in our own worlds, which is the norm for many players in this genre of game. However, that doesn’t rule out the possibility of trying a different approach at times. Fortunately, it exists in the form of instance rooms, not a forced open world. We can freely choose between a solo ā€œlone wolfā€ life or socializing and building together. Therefore, I approve!
