There is a critical systemic flaw in the authorship system for Zois and Styles.
The system allows the original creator of a character to be dynamically and incorrectly replaced based on applied styles or even minimal cosmetic edits.
As a result, Zoi authorship is not fixed and can be reassigned to another creator without creating a new character, effectively enabling authorship theft.
This issue affects:
-Zois
-Styles
-Makeup
-Hairstyles
-Clothing
In practice, the entire authorship system is broken and actively abused by players.
Steps to Reproduce
Player selects a Zoi originally created by Author A.
In some cases, certain templates or elements already incorrectly display Author B, showing existing inconsistency.
Player applies a Style created by inZOI.
After applying the Style:
All authorship fields (Zoi, Style, assets) switch to inZOI.
Player makes a minimal cosmetic change, such as:
changing a makeup item;
changing a hairstyle;
replacing a single clothing item.
After this minor edit:
the Zoi and/or Style author changes to Author C (creator of the edited asset);
while the character itself remains essentially the original Zoi by Author A, with only negligible changes.
Result
The same Zoi can change authors multiple times.
Authorship is determined by the last edited asset, not by the original creator.
A Zoi created by Author A can ultimately be displayed as created by Author C.
Expected Behavior
Zoi authorship must be fixed and permanently tied to the original creator.
Applying Styles or editing individual assets must never overwrite the Zoi author.
Authorship of Styles, clothing, makeup, and hairstyles must be tracked separately.
Applying official inZOI Styles must not replace the original Zoi author.
Actual Behavior
Zoi authorship changes dynamically when:
applying a Style;
editing individual cosmetic elements;
switching between assets from different creators.
Impact / Severity
This is a critical issue because it:
completely breaks the authorship system;
enables intentional and unintentional misattribution of creators;
allows effective takeover of other creators’ Zois;
makes protection of original characters impossible;
undermines trust in the Style system and the publishing platform as a whole.I can’t attach screenshots because the forum shows an “insufficient memory” error. Please fix this as well.@AR_Noah @AR_Owen @AR_Luna
