It seemed to me that the issue had been included among the resolved ones in the December 24 update, but I’m not certain.
In any case, as the title states the copyright is being attributed to others when it is only mine. The bug is starting to worry me in addition to being quite frustrating. I put my creativity, my time and my effort into creating something nice… and all of this appears as the work of another creator. I apologize for photographing their profile, but the screenshot proves that the other creator has nothing to do with my work. Please try to resolve this.

I had this happen once, long ago.
I was looking at multiple houses in the build studio, then decided to build my own.
So I used the “delete all button” to get a clean slate and spent 3-4 hours building (it was a very small build).
Saved it then decided to export it to Canvas. It gave the authorship to another player… It was the one who had built the house I had “deleted all” from before starting.
I guess if you load a creation before creating your own, it can rob you of ownership and you won’t know until sometimes dozen of hours later when you try to upload it.
I dont really know about the character creation aspect of this tho, but hopefully it helps the devs out on this issue.
It’s rare, but it’s extremely soul-crushing when it happens.

I could understand that dynamic, the fact is that I didn’t use anything from that author at all, not even trying different clothes and things in the Caz -.-’

I got a similar problem too, but my case is a little bit different. At first, I didn’t know how the credit system works, so I downloaded a Zoi from Canvas as a base to create my own Zoi. I adjusted everything—from the face to the body. After few hours, when I finished my work, my Zoi already looked totally different from the original base Zoi, and all the clothes had been changed as well. However, when I checked the information, it still showed that the Zoi was created by someone else. That’s actually sad.

I have a few zois and outfits that say someone else is the author of the outfits, I created the outfits and inZOI support told me they might have traces in the files, for two zois maybe the body I used was downloaded from when I first started, but wouldn’t author show up on the zoi itself if that is the case?
Anyway I created a new Christmas outfit on Pretty Girl one, which I created Pretty Girl one and uploaded her to canvas before the Christmas/Winter update and it shows that I am the author of everything, then after the update I created the Christmas outfit on her and somehow it shows someone else is the author of the outfit.
This is a bug or a glitch.
You can look at both versions of Pretty Girl one, first one before Christmas shows I am the author and Pretty Girl one Christmas Edit (somehow someone else is the author of the outfit) which I selected from the new content in the outfit tabs, I did not download anything used on this zoi.

I always upload something as Private now to test. I need to see what textures go with my uploads, make sure everything that should be credited to me is, etc.
There’s a weird issue with outfits uploaded before the December 23rd update too, at least for me and some players I’ve spoken to. Downloading our creations that have custom textures on them and loading them up in CAZ, we find the custom texture is missing and needs to be applied again. The settings are still the same, so it’s just a matter of clicking the texture again, but it has to do with that new bug where if you change the texture on something, then click on the colour circle to customize it, it’ll take away the texture.
But it’s annoying because it’s not even the first time that a game update has caused Canvas uploads to change (such as Young Adult zois downloading as Adults, etc.).
