Please stop vacuuming the lawn

Please, for the love of big anime boobs, stop making zoi mop or vacuum the lawn. It’s been here since launch, but it drives me nuts. What is it even achieving? Why does it even count as a dirty part of the house in the first place? Exactly which guest is realistically going to think, “Eeew, her garden isn’t vacuumed…”?

So… to what end? I keep watching my zois vacuum the lawn, sometimes in a downpour that caused a weather alert, and I can only think, “oh yeah, I’m sure someone out there needs a vacuum cleaner bag full of mud and grass… Maybe to make a mud-brick or something…” :stuck_out_tongue:

They initially said that would be fixed with the October update, as I remember it, and yet, here we are. My zoi even says she’s cleaning the streets now when she goes out the front door.

100% agree. As much as Zois are cleaning I wish they were real. I’d invite them over to my house all day -.-

As already discussed in another thread, the constant cleaning outside and inside the buildings is annoying. I also thought that this cleaning issue should be fixed with an update. But just like HeinzDerHeld, I would like to invite Zois to spruce up my home :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Well, this is what gets me: The game already knows what’s in a room and what isn’t, because they generate a floor there. Yes, that includes stuff like a “room” where you generated it and knocked out 3 walls to get a porch or a balcony, but nevertheless, as far as the game is concerned, that is a room with a floor. You can resize or move it as a room, for example. So the game actually has a bunch of patches which are “rooms,” and patches which aren’t.

IT’S NOT A MYSTERY :stuck_out_tongue:

There is literally no reason for anything that isn’t a “room” to need cleaning, nor for that matter to contribute to how dirty the house is. (Which, yes, by now I’m fairly sure it does.) Like, literally, if you ray-cast to place some dirt, and it falls outside a “room”… don’t.

From a programming point of view, it’s an IF block or two, as in if something that the game already KNOWS. I mean, literally, worst case scenario, “if that tile has a floor.” Or just iterate through those “rooms.” Or something.

Hope that helps Krafton eventually fix it…

Hi everyone (@here),

This issue has already been addressed in the past(Mopping/Vacuuming outside), but since there was numerous requests we’ll take a closer look into this matter.

Thanks :psycat_thumbsup:
