Long Term missions for our zois

Hi , I’m not sure this was ever requested before but what is missing in the game right now is a long term perspective. The idea is to follow several generations of zois but with no other goal than that. What if there were missions for our zois to complete? I’ll give you the example of a Sealife Quest : the objective would be to hold a conference on sealife and get a reward which would be a rubber dolphin. To achieve this you would have to complete a list of requirements such as reach swimming level 10, sight an orca, join swimming academy , etc

Like I said this is only an example, but it gives something to hope for especially if all those missions rewards create a collection of items (rubber toys) or unlock specific skills or vehicles, you name it. Tell me what you think

Wellcome to the forum @bethabelle. Will they throw the trophies and the prizes in the trash? :upside_down_face: No, seriously, it seems like a very good idea to me, adding some small activities makes the game more entertaining. It doesn’t seem like something difficult to add. I support the proposal :slightly_smiling_face: .

Good suggestion to extend the game for generations.

Such as

Without using any cheats or age alterations (else there is no challenge) :

  • Within 3 to 4 generations own a property worth at least 300,000
  • Craft a particular gem ornament and pass it through to the 4th generation as a family heirloom in their wedding.
  • Have a wall of family portraits showcasing 3 generations and their extended families if possible (spouse’s parents, spouse’s cousins if possible). Have at least 1 photo of grandparents and grandchildren together.
  • Have children visit the home of their great-grandparents in another city and hunt for the hidden/lost family gem. (You need to craft the gem, hide it or throw it somewhere, then move to another city sometime in the next generations, have children and get them back to the home in the old city which now someone else has occupied, so make friends with them to get in the house)

It would be fun game play. I am sure players will come up with dozens of their own quests. We can even have a showcasing event of such quests.

Your ideas are brilliant ! I hope the devs will get inspired by your suggestions for a new DLC called “generation”. Also don’t forget the rewards : hiding a gem for 4 generations is a loooong project ; but if there’s something to win at the end, then it’s worthwhile! ty for responding as well

i’m on board with this, the game needs goals and purposes for what i do.

i loved your idea of goals, and maybe even age-specific goals where each life stage has its own objectives, and not meeting them impacts the zoi’s future.

same with purposes: why do i study? why do i do laundry? what happens if i don’t? those are questions devs should ask themselves for every game feature

What you have described is very like to the existing mechanics in the game. It’s sounds like “Ambitions”.
“Ambitions” are available to adult Zois and can be selected in the Zoi-card. It’s include several levels, usually 3.

For example, for the ambition of a Master Chef, you must first reach the 6th, then the 10th cooking level, prepare different recipes 10, 20, 30 times. After this Zoi can lead a blog with cooking tips in the Internet.

For the ambition of a Fitness Master, you first need to achieve 5 fitness levels, then 10, and perform any number of workouts. After this Zoi can take part in sports competitions in which he will earn money.

You can choose different paths with long-term goals.
Caring Parent (after that, the Zoi can work as a babysitter). Hero-Lover. Philanthropist. Criminal Genius. & Etc

I definitely don’t understand how your proposal is fundamentally different from Ambitions mechanics?

I am aware of those ambition tasks but I was thinking of some projects that would go beyond a zoi’s lifespan
